Have a bloke hug. Drink plenty of water. Hope you start feeling better soon. The lurgy has now kicked in with a vengance. Upped my Basal to a temp basal of 130% until 10 pm tonight, but my BG refuses to drop below 10 GRRRR.
Think may have to go up to 150% overnight
Evening all.
Your friendly what's it from "The House Of I Don't Give Flying Monkeys" as I sit here running at a ...hang on need to check...... 4.5 with a north east arrow.......I have just scoffed another Jaffa Cakebecause I was 2.4 round half hour ago, I now realise just what a wonderus small bundle of absolute happiness they are .
I really don't care if they are not the ideal hypo treatment but they work for me so I is a happy person......
Everyone else all fine on this Sunday night?
Yes @Jaylee most weekends are on the pony, can't seem to load a pic I'm afraidfile too big?! All the time outdoors in extreme temperatures makes the bg difficult at times..... never mind fighting your way through 9 layers to administer insulin in the middle of winter
Part 1 of extra organist's duties done and no need to think too much about the next round until Tuesday. Which is, from my point of view as an organist, a very easy funeral. No-one I know, canned music in and out, two well-known hymns I know off by heart, so can sing loudly as well, (Family members have been known to disown me for singing loudly at funerals... I just point out it's professional solidarity with the organist.)
I succumbed to some pizza from the food after the children's work at church this afternoon to everyone's shock and amazement. I am not renowned for eating anything at that point normally, as long as I've got my coffee, I'm fine. I didn't own up to the fact I was planning on a long walk for a bit of a Think about Life and the Universe once we'd finished, I'd gone home, and had my real meal (excellent chickpea curry which was a freezer find when I was concluding I needed to defrost it soon, so needed to eat up stuff soon as well) and I'm on a lovely pre-bed number right now after walking off my gloom, doom and despondency. (Nothing major, just a few things I needed to get my head around before making a decision or three.)
Hi,
It don't normally eat prior to a "gig" myself... If you can belt out "Smoke on the water" with a sense of irony. You maybe hired...
It will be a humanist affair... But not just yet!
Does your sick day plan allow for incrementally increasing bolus as well? And are increases of basal and ? bolus scaled for the fact that most of us find insulin resistance builds as the BSL get higher? The lurgy has now kicked in with a vengance.
