I'm not only awake, washed and dressed I'm on the second coffee. Might be gonna have a third though....

Waiting to see if husband's foot pain settles down so we can go over to the neighbouring town. I want undies and tops, and I'd like to go the Grape Tree (whole food shop).

I'd like to get over to another local town that has a nut butter maker on site, and you can use it to grind the nuts you buy into nut butter at the time of purchase! I wanna play!
Ooh I want coffee now!
Sounds like you've got a good day ahead. I. Not sure I trust people who dont like shopping and the nut butter plate sounds fun!
Hope your husband's foot is ok!

Tonight’s dinner was mushroom and leek risotto. Hopefully, a combo bolus will avoid the spike as I am likely to try it again. It was declared to be “the best risotto ever”. Unfortunately, it was one of those “make it up as I go along” type of recipes so repetition may take some trial and error.

Hi Helen, your risotto sounded nice :) I love mushroom risotto and make my own, daughter likes chicken, so if I make the chicken, I cook mushrooms separately then add them to my dish with ready to eat.
I made a veggie curry for us last night, with carrot, 4 small new potatoes, halved and quartered, red onion, broccoli, yellow pepper and lovely spinach too :hungry:

When you've got it remembered would you post it? Veggie board or here - I read your post out to himself and when he'd stopped chuckling and saying "Been there....", we both decided we'd love that meal ....:hungry:

My day will consist of yet another walk to collect yet another prescription. Gonna have to cut down in testing, I'm going through the strips way too quickly! And why do they only sell the ketone strips in boxes of ten!

Feeling slightly nauseous. Would test my ketones, but ran out of strips... so let's just hope nothing bad happens there until I can pick the strips up this afternoon.

I also really need to get started on my essay which is due in less than 3 weeks, which I haven't started or even looked at since a week before my diagnoses. My brain has been a little preoccupied

@Mel dCP Now that paints an interesting picture because I have Frank Zappa's Catholic Girls song going round my head :hilarious:

Oh man one day I will get past puberty and get rid of these zits. Other than that...………….oh yeah COFFEE!! :joyful:
Welsh. I’ve got to cover five lessons of Welsh. I don’t speak much Welsh. :banghead:

I forget that's something they actually teach in Wales. (Presuming you're in Wales, otherwise why are the kids being taught Welsh!)

Mind you, I love those "chuck it in the pan and see what comes out" meals - usually the best and tastiest meals we have haha!

You could talk of the welsh language, the history of it, the cities and towns, traditions etc and I can say:- the Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch(llan-vire-pooll-guin-gill-go-ger-u-queern-drob-ooll-llandus-ilio-gogo-goch) (usually known as Llanfair-pwll or Llanfairpwllgwyngyll)
is a Welsh word which translates roughly as "St Mary's Church in the Hollow of the White Hazel near a Rapid Whirlpool

but as i live in Hampshire, that's doesn't help very much lol
Good luck today:)

Well Hamish has had a tough day, he’s been made to go downstairs ‘properly’ quite a few times, has been for a long walk and carried some shopping back from the local. He’s moaning now and being told it’s all for his own good. It’s a lovely excuse to elevate him on a couple of cushions and take it easy before I go and cook. Think he needs a glass of secco to take the edge off

I'm thinking anyone new to this thread and doesn't know who hamish is, is thinking what is she on???! they're thinking is Hamish her man servant, but then no you wouldn't elevate him on cushions, maybe a leprechaun then?............:p

Well BGs have been..........excellent! mid-4s to high 5s since yesterday 17:00. Amazing what new cartridges can do!

A leprechaun? A puppy maybe, but one big enough to carry shopping. Maybe a small pony.
For newcomers, Hamish is a knee replacement.
I’ll shut up about him now, promise.

Pinch punch and white rabbits.
Today will be a quiet one because most countries are celebrating May Day with union marches and workers rights. Whereas, in the UK, we will wait until Monday before we strangle innocent poles with ribbons.
Today is definitely (I think) Blues Brothers' Day.

I hope Hamish enjoyed his cushioned rest at the end of yesterday and is doing ok today.
Talking of naming medical attachments, I have been thinking about my next pump. My current one has the original name Pumpy. I have decided to call the Medtrum one Patch for obvious reasons. If Patch does not work out and I end up with the Medtronic 640G, I shall call it Tubby. This is a combination of a mistyped Tubey and a reflection on its size relative to Patch.

Hamish wishes Pumpy a good day! Phew, I’m not the only anthromorphiser!

Why have I not thought if naming my kit!? Inanimate objects deserve an identity!
