I like chip shop chips! Nothing quite like them. Home made are nice, but from the chippie? Delicious :hungry:

I've had better days but at least it is below the 10 mark :)

I must say that is one hefty party, but I hope you're okay :)

My parents worked and owned a few Chinese takeaways and growing up, some customers would only come in to buy chips, just chips every week. I had to ask a customer why do you only buy chips and he said these chips are so good, crispy and absolutely delicious - crispy, thick and fluffy in the middle. So I asked my mum to let me sample our own chips, I agreed with the customer on every level. :hilarious:

My bf and I had local chippies in Leeds and the funny thing is we were both speaking english and we both didn't understand each other. :hilarious: But chippies was good, I'd go to Leeds again for just chips. :hilarious:

@WuTwo do you live in a resort? We used to live Grimsby/Cleethorpes, in our youth we would count coaches with day trippers coming along the main road. Would often get 300+ nowadays nothing!
@MeiChanski Oh to have only finished GCSEs 10 years ago, O levels in my day ! Finished 1976. Went off to work in a fish and chip restaurant during a very long and hot, ladybird and hornet infested summer before I started college.
@helensaramay not as weird as me! Don’t like chips at all probably due to above experience.
Meant to take a photo of my lovely meal for the food thread. But so bloomin hungry ate it before I remembers

I can understand why some people dislike food bloggers and instagrammers because they take too long to photograph their food and people are hungry. :hilarious: Why yes, 10 years ago during this time. I remember that queue to pick up results and going somewhere for chips.

Hi, y'all, thought I'd pop in to see what's been unfolding in our (always marvellously controlled and totally on song!?!) T1 lives, and I noticed a difference.

Couldn't quite see it at first amongst all the changing avatars, but then I did..

Step forward, our very own @helensaramay , whose status has bumped up in the last few days from "Well known member" to "Expert"!

Speech, Helen, speech, speech!

Morning ... if you are all good today, I'll let you have an extra day at the weekend.
Seems to be a morning a wrong BGs. Mine went low during the night. I woke a bit groggy at 6:30 and didn't test until 7:15 when I realised I was in the 3s but still too groggy to think clearly. So it took me a few minutes to realise my GlucoTabs were still in the study! All sorted now and just enjoyed a breakfast fruit salad of melon, bald peaches and nana. Yum!
Yesterday, I went to find some specs. I think I have mentioned I have a pin head (to add to me tiny feet). This means I need kids' glasses (and kids' socks). There are pros and cons with this - the pros are cost (although I still have to pay VAT). The cons are stupid colours and patterns on the arms. Even when I was a kid I would have wanted plain black specs (apart from the glass bits) but this is not possible. I found some nice metallic blue-grey frames ...except they had mustard yellow arms. Why? Why? Why?
Ho hum. I'll have to stick with my (big adults') ready readers for a bit longer.

Helensaramy, I'm a compact person myself - size 3 feet, size 6 gloves, size 6 clothing, and so on. It too have found buying glasses a challenge.

A few years ago, we started using an online resource for specs: https://www.zennioptical.com

As well as teens, you can filter frames by frame width, arm length and width of the bridge. Once you know those measurements, plus your intrapulilary distance, it makes things pretty simple.

Good morning, I am working today at my other job, we are helping Sainsbury's celebrate their 150th birthday today with free give aways of tea and biscuits. Sunday and Bank holiday Monday, are chill out days
Whatever you are doing, have a great time :)

It's been 10 years since I finished GCSE and I thought school things would have changed by now, but apparently not. Chip shop chips? now we are talking. :hilarious: I tend to find takeaway food or greasy food in general more difficult to bolus for, but we'll keep practising.

I remember chip shop chips from 1970's, heaven :hungry:

Tea and biscuits? Oh I'm listening, is it all kinds of biscuits?

Morning.

Had coffee don't feel awake so might wait for it to sink down and get another one.

Numbers in single figures depending on which tech you believe going to check the traps to see what on the breakfast menu ;) :D
Sounds like me when I look at my glass and act surprised that my iced coffee went down so quickly and not feeling it's immediate effects like coke, it's an excuse to make another one.

No I believe it's ginger's nuts and a small packet of tea, but I will see when i get there.
May nip into a Sainsbury’s if I see one on my travels today.:)
Wasn’t there a tale about ginger nuts not to be taken out on sunny days;)

Morning all. Woke up on 6 which is great and I'll take it.

Today we're having a slight re-arrange of the kitchen surfaces so that I have my own separate prep area, and that way I can be in the kitchen doing one thing whilst husband is working on another. It's odd but he can get a bit possessive about the kitchen and I can't be ***** with it. So I decided I want my own space and that way if I want to make a cranberry & blueberry drizzle cake I can do so without getting under his feet while he does veg prep for dinner.

We should have done it years ago!

Other than that, the kids are coming tonight because son has been offered a good gig tomorrow night by an events promoter. If they do well that will bring in a whole load more gigs!

Also, my gorgeous new mixing bowl arrives today. Proper old fashioned like Grandma used to use. I love them!
