Catching up after a day of mud pie making. Still splattered by clay - and happy but cream crackered.
@helensaramay, the rspb have some good bird books, lively illustrations and info.
I need a computer whizz. I’m trying to scan and send images of my train ticket to East Midland Rail Delay Repay and keep losing connection, I think my computers in a blackspot. What’s the best WiFi enhancer?
I used snailmail too as I thought it was better than repeated swearing but I’d really like to fix it!!!!
And @WuTwo, oooo, lentil crisps - 10g per bag of Lidl ones but one bag’s never enough.
Going to google a Pancreas plushie now - would the cat like a new toy, could I insert catnip? Waiting to see what you’re talking about.
 
OMG, a Pancreas that’s soft and huggable, I think I’d want to throw darts at the blighter that’s led me such a dance.
 
Nighty night guys, I have a busy day tomorrow, school run, then onto a course about challenging behaviour, finish that, then back to the school run. Just made my lunch for tomorrow, as tea and coffee will be provided.

I have a tee shirt from an old JDRF music fundraiser with the print a pancreas rocking out, throwing horns..
I don't know about a dance? But certainly a lot of head banging.!
 
Morning all. A bit haywire last night - up to 16.9 and spent the evening chasing it down. Woke up on 6.8 which I regard as a triumph of insulin over infection!

Practice nurse phoned to say they won't issue any treatment without a urine sample (which I totally understand) and babbled on about my abnormal blood. Which we all know about and have done for years. It ain't gonna get any better, so she needs to get used to it. (She's new). So - husband will take my sample down (lucky man!) and I'll wait to hear. Meanwhile my bloods can go haywire and I can feel awful. Yay!

Long day today and I have a heavyweight set of accounts to work on. That might need to wait until the fog in my brain has lifted. (Just heard that song in my head "The fog on the Tyne is all mine, all mine, the fog on the Tyne is all mine ...."

 
Incidentally the blood isn't because of the veganism. It's partly because I have no spleen, and partly because the drugs I take for my epilepsy have a weird effect on white blood cells and sodium. As a result of I usually have abnormally low sodium levels and very abnormal white blood count etc. What am I supposed to do - magically grow a spleen and stop taking the drug that really, really controls the epilepsy (which is confirmed as animal ingredient free by the manufacturer). I don't think so.....

Nah! The spleen and I parted company years ago and it leave you very vulnerable to infection 'cos the spleen fights chest infections etc. I've had low sodium for about 30 years (as long as I've been on this drug) and I ain't dead yet, so really - what's to worry about?
 
Morning all, smooth night but consistently high, cruising in the high sevens all night. It was flat, so I don’t think I need to adjust basal, I should have just taken some more insulin for my lovely curry last night. 5.7 now and ready to be dispatched to a mystery school. How exciting.

Morning friends
5.8 this morning, lindas cooking in the pan and iced coffee to start off the day. I’d love a pancreas plush or figure for my desk, or even a chair cushion.
I had a conversation with someone last night and I’m not surprised that a very few people do not understand what diabetes is. He said type 1 is the person born with it. Im like are we maybelline?

Morning everyone, Lovely sun to start the day
Evil D, madam BG's best friend had a party overnight, 8.2 this morning.

Shake head. I don't seem to be getting stuff right at the mo
Sunday woke at 11.4, gave it a 2u smack and 2hrs later I was 2.3 What's that all about?
Since then BG generally too high so I'm just a bit reluctant to give any correction dose.
