Type 1'stars R Us

Morning all! Steady night at the top end, needed just under a unit at half six. Bit more painting today, but will need to disassemble a bit of my furniture to do it. Working my way around a wall panel at a time to accommodate the feeble shoulders and general chronic fatigue...

In other news, I've just booked three gig tickets for the Alarm, Liverpool and Birmingham the first weekend in December and Cardiff next June :smug::greedy:

Have a good one, lovely friends x

Morning. Just accidentally took 7 units of Levemir, instead of 5, as the morning dose. Not a problem that can't be solved with extra food, but a bit annoying. Since I switched to Levemir I've managed to avoid automaton mode, but I switched into it there.

Repeat to myself, think before injecting.
I always say, "Before injecting, put mind into gear" !!

Good morning friends

I have remembered that I have an eye appointment at the hospital this morning and I’m here at hospital now

I have made a slight booby wooby slight mix up with the time my appointment is for 09.40

I’d rather be early though

Have a good day peeps

I’d be getting worried for you if it were perfect, thinking you’d been up all night getting BG fit to drive and retaining memory room for ALL the numbers.
It’s hard to be on time for everything, especially with T1 But early, woohoo. Hope it all goes/went well - you’ll be looking at this with a Captain Hook eyepatch.

Good morning everyone, and a better one than yesterday, even though it’s Monday. Drugs are working well!
Minor personal triumph of a non-geek, I’ve just got the internet working here again after daughter disconnected it to free the socket so she could shampoo the stairs. Stairs look great too. And new plants in the garden.
Now a coffee and a net-jaunt before tackling more weeds and drip to the green bins at the dump with them.

Lots of snacking, and testing, and symptom-watching then. I feel for you, so annoying too if we feel it’s self-imposed. We’ve all done it occasionally (I don’t want denials from the perfect people).

I’ve been known to mix basal and bolus and take a massive dollop of Novorapid by mistake... it’s horrible forcing yourself to eat stuff you don’t want just to soak it up.

Hi fellow Type 1 r's hope is all going well for you all today

had a pretty **** day yesterday with fairly high BG all afternoon and night, around 11. Took small correction dose before bed and I stayed fairly flat all night, unfortunately that was around 11 all night

Even this morning with correction dose still at 11 ish. Now dropped slightly before lunch, to 8.1 , but no doubt after lunch this will go back up again.

Ah well tomorrow I have my post ADAPT course, session, 2 hours of what benefits we got from course

Was that after you corrected the hypo from a walk in the park? That's a bit disappointing, walks in the parks should be nice events, not ones that generate a long run of high blood sugars.

Looks like the T!D gremlin has flagged up for you an experience of what benefits you didn't get from the course. Which, whether they like it or not, is also useful feedback for them.

G'day all. Woke to a nice 5.9 this morning so have been smiling for a few hours, currently settled on a 6.1. Today is going to be a good day (so far lol)
@Cumberland good luck with your appointments at the hospital today

Thanks @porl69
Home now eye drops have worn off
6-8 months wait for cataract operations unless there’s any cancellations to which I said I would attend at the drop of a hat

That was an interesting morning.

Had my "3 month follow up part of the 6 month Libre trial", she was pleased with the way things are going but interestingly it seems that the goals have changed for "for being in the green", school of thought is now 4 - 10mmol.

At that setting I have been 87% in target over the last 90 days. So :woot: me.

She changed the setting on the official Libre reader (not a fan of that device) however, I have set my Libre App and MySugar to 5-9.5 mmol.

Also I have a new insulin pen one of the SolStar Child pens which does 0.5 units which means Apidra carts instead of the all in one disposable pens and I am getting moved to Tresbia, which fits my current Nova pens. Should be fun, nice to have a change from Lantus as I have been on it for nigh on 20 years :)

Oh course getting up late and being on the low side before I set off in the car, meant, 2 jaffa cakes, 2 glugo tabs, 1 jelly baby, just to even things out :hilarious: and as expected paid the price with a 13.4 later on.

No worries, back down to mid 5's so all OK :angelic:

@Cumberland sound like you had a god day as well, hope a cancelation comes in quick.

Ah, the things we stuff in our mouths when we don’t really want to! I too have had a bit of an annoying day - maybe it’s the mess but I’ve been low a lot, and I have lots to do! So far, five jelly babies, five rich tea, a bite of a stale bun, a whole stale bun, just because they were still lying around, and I’m back to 3.8 again.
I haven’t much choice here. So rest of the stale bun now?
Levemir was usual dose.
Yes, there are gremlins on the loose.

Child has play date. She has wanted this friend over for ages. So why do they both find me more interesting than each other? Wail!

Gremlins up north too :) I have no idea why I needed the same bolus twice this morning but wasn't surprised to see a post porridge rise, 1u for that and levelled off at 8,8 until I got the ladders out and dropped quickly, I'm working in my street so came home for the 2nd half of my breakfast, levelled out and dropped again an hour later so another slice of bread and steady at 5.5. it can be frustrating, can't it... :(

Out of curiosity, what did you have it set at before? If you need to change the professional setting on the Libre scanner the code is CAA1C ;) And when do you start the Tresiba?

I’m just waiting for my blood to come up to legal driving level so I can go food shopping... it’s all glamour here! Painted another section of my bedroom, which meant dismantling part of my massive bank of drawers to get to the lower part of the wall...

@Cumberland - hope you get seen soon, lovely <3
