Dylan is a fabulous songwriter and I do like Neil Young in small doses but bloody hell they are both dreadful singers, especially Dylan.

Quite recently got into early Genesis, but YES, I want to like, but find it a a real struggle, apart from maybe half dozen or so songs
 
Tried to book a sharps bin collection only to be told I can't email them any more, I have to fill in an online form and then they might accept or decline the request.

I also like Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, Whitesnake, Foreigner, Van Halen, ZZ Top, Saxon among others

Going to see Def Leppard in Liverpool this December they are being supported by Cheap Trick

Where are you going to watch Saxon?

I adore Deep Purple and Sabbath :)

Agree about Dylan he is a fantastic songwriter but his voice is somewhat whiney

Just remembered Judas Priest like them too

So I like punk and rock
I admit I liked glam rock too with Sweet top of my list
I like reggae and northern soul too

I couldn’t tell you what the number 1 single is in the UK today lol

You only like half a dozen Yes songs? that's about two albums worth!

I just remember in the Sixth form, a certain group of young men would continuously play Yes in the common room area, and that probably put me off progressive rock for life.
 
I would have agreed once, about Dylan's voice not being great in a conventional sense, but I remember trying to learn to play "Ring them bells" once, and thinking that it almost sounds too smooth when someone else sings it, whereas when he sings it sounds different.

This rock thing, "Rag mama rag" is just the best rock song ever, it's the fiddle, and the tuba, that wins it for them.

They are in Glasgow, saw them a couple of years ago and they were amazing. Support act is American rockers from1980's Y&t who i have seen for past 5 years and are superb, plus a new band Wayward Sons with Toby Jepson as lead singer, who are pretty decent as well, quite a line up.

Love Cheap trick as well but for some reason cannot stand Def Leppard, dont know why

Ha ha, sort of true, most of the songs I like are about 10 minutes long, from Yes

One of my favs though is by Genesis Suppers Ready all 23 minutes or so

Sweet may have been a bit glam rock but they were actually a fairly heavy rock band, some brilliant tunes

Should be good night for you

The last concert I went to was a few years ago in Newcastle

Black Stone Cherry, Foreigner and Journey who headlined (I thought Foreigner were slightly better) but all 3 were brill
