For the accusers and sayers of the word 'naughty' - sing Bon Jovi - It's My Life; sing 'Rule Britannia' ( it goes better that way than trying to substitute NHS for Britannia); say " I left school some years ago and even my headmaster - mistress has never so rude as to call me naughty" and "how long have YOU lived with diabetes for"? and finally "Thank you for talking to me and I shall continue to manage my condition in my own way to the best of my ability. I trust that we will not need to have this conversation ever again"?

To add to @kev-w battery comments for @Japes, it may have just been the batteries struggling with the cold.
Sometimes, this manifests as temporary low battery.
Or, like my meter, it just tells me I have an error with my test strips and I waste 4 or 5 before I get home and read the manual ... all whilst having a hypo. At least I think so but the meter wasn't working so I couldn't confirm. But I took some GlucoTabs just in case.
That happened last winter and I try to keep my meter warmer when I go out on a cold day now. I just wish women's coats had sensible things like inside pockets - handbags are not always the answer for carrying things.

I'm on a roll today - woke at 5.3 and plan to stick around that level. I have removed the box of Nakd bars from my desk so I will not be tempted.
? use of a neck wallet - slung from opposite shoulder and under arm all under the coat?? available at camping stores, might be large enough for glucose meter or pump or both ??

Morning seivelets. Smooth night, no alarms, nothing to see here. Except my bladder and the snoring so-and-so I’m married to kept me awake 3-7am. Humph.

Morning everyone, looks like things are working again.

Been looking at my Daily Patterns graph on the Libre reader. It's a fairly flat line at the moment, but I have two little dips at almost exactly 12 hours apart, at around 5am, and 5pm, which is about 3 hours before the next Levemir injection, so I'm assuming it peaks there, and that's why I'm getting hypos around that time. Yesterday afternoon it ate a pear, and two apples, though the second apple might have been slight overkill. The morning one isn't quite so demanding.

It messes with my evening meal, so I had almost no carbs yesterday, and it was quite relaxing, which I'm a big fan of. Though the second apple forced me to a 1 unit correction, later on.

Thing is, I'm staying quite nicely in range, so I think I just have to live with

Morning ~sigh~

So woke up on the low side, all OK dropped my long acting 0.5 a unit and because I was going to drive in after a short while I dropped my short acting by 2 units with the idea of catching it as it sailed past the 8.0 mark

So now I am sat here at a 13.5 with at least half a litre of IoB (yes a deliberate try to hypo to stop it going up) and only now after 30 minutes or so starting to move down ~sigh~

Only good thing about being high means my steps have logged higher as I transport 3 cups of coffee and half the water cooler form upstairs to the smallest room in the building.

Least, I have achieved something today.

@Japes Naughty? only had that once, they were not impressed when I asked them how long they had been a diabetic, and then burst out laughing at some silly reason they gave.

He only comes once a year and that is usually down a chimney!!

Oh your wasted on here you really are...….:pompous:

You should be on stage...…….

@helensaramay and @Japes I don't know how either of you kept your temper! Like everyone I've had encounters with appalling hcps but I'm very lucky now with the DSN at my surgery. I emailed her a couple of weeks ago about a 1/2 unit pen and three days later it was at the pharmacy for me. She also immediately arranged an a1c test when I emailed to say I thought my bg was in range for a Libre on prescription, then phoned me as soon as the results were in to say she had had the GP add it to my repeat prescriptions and she'd ordered the first two for me which I picked up a couple of days later. Believe me, I know how lucky I am! :)

And another strange(ish) evening/night. 10.30pm was just doing my Tresiba dose and had a look at Xdrip and it was on 4 and steady, so I had a stollen cake (Xmas and stollen are my downfalls) 20g of carb. Woken with alarms at 3am high bloods 15.3. Looks like I am carb sensitive in the nights lol
On a steady 5.3 now
Had a check on my estimated HBA1c, thanks Librelink, and it is showing 49......

Hypo of 2.9 at 5am

I have been ok since treating but by heck it’s scary

Afternoon guys and wishing you all Happy Friday. The weather here is stunning, so beautiful and bright with sunny blue skies.
Already had a job rejection email, 'Sorry, but your application hasn't been successful', so will plod on.
I had 3 really good readings yesterday ( I lowered my lunchtime Insulin by half and no work hypo's) and before bed 5.5  but awoke on a 3.5. Will have an early lunch and hope my BS is having that Friday feeling and will behave it's self:rolleyes:
