Good morning y'all, Libres last day and it said 2.6 when I woke, but I didn't feel hypo and a finger stick says 4.2, technology on a wake up wind up... My little un asked why I was pulling faces when she came downstairs :p

Twas a pretty flat line too :)
Libre ,
Not a good day ,,following the news that the libre sensor is now upgraded ,providing more/better information ,I contacted Abbott libre , requesting an upgrade ,only to be informed that the UK will not get the upgrade until the ongoing discussions are completed ?. So much for the political LIES ,that medical supplies will NOT be affected .Bet the PM has an upgrade .WjO

Morning from the land of T1D where all your dreams come true ~not insertion of 'sarcasm'~

Had Lentils last night and was expecting to be climbing Mount Everest to put a cap on it, but no Libre said I was dead all night where as xDrip had me round the 4.0 - 4.5 all night well that's a win in my books :)

@helensaramay I like the sound of the "Gallic shrug" going to look that one up on youtube later and perfect it, fit in with the way I feel at the moment :) while I sit here rebuilding my system again ~sigh~

@kitedoc Those kites are awesome love the colours.

@Wjohn do you have a link to information about the upgrade please? Not whether we can get it but what it is/does? Thanks

@kitedoc love the pictures and the Chinese character is so apt.

Nightmare night last night, all self inflicted - so I've only got myself to blame, getting the balance right when you're 2.9 and with 4u still on board and wanting to go to bed.....................:wacky: There was no 'balance' involved!

Good morning all....4.4 on waking and no alarms during the night :) My Librelink is giving my an estimated HBA1c of 48.....if that is correct its the lowest I have been in over 30 years :)
Just had a txt from the hospital saying I have a "Rehabilitation Service appt on the 3rd December! *** is a rehabilitation service appt???? I had a letter for an appt with the dietitian for the same day. Hoping its about the pump :)
@kitedoc love the pics of the kites....they are amazing

Another night time low , another basal reduction tonight.

Just want one nights sleep without any alarms going off .

Atleast last weeks resistance has backed off and I am back in target :) That will all go out the window tonight as we are getting a Chinese still not managed to guesstimate that yet.

Seriously though I do find that if I eat, very little carbs at dinner eg just chicken and veg, my BG tend to go higher overnight. Whereas if I have a little carbs eg last night was small baked potato, about 30g of carbs, my overnights are bettero_Oo_O

Could be a reaction to the protein, which will raise BG in the absence of carbs. You may need to consider bolusing for protein.

agree, bolus for protein is usually take half the dose you would for carbs for it, with a finger in the air as a caveat!

If you know roughly what you having the look up MyFitnessPal which is an app you can get that has lots and lots of food carb values for restaurant and takeaway meals I have found it quite interesting for Chinese and Indian foods.

Have fun and enjoy you nosebag :hilarious:

Yeah my alarms were getting to be a pain going off during the night so switched them off, which has proved interesting but nothing I can't deal with :)

Thanks for the advice @Colin of Kent

I have never heard that before, bolusing for protein. How much Novorapid to take on top of my Novorapid for carbs.

Now i am really confusedo_Oo_O

Have to agree with @helensaramay on this. I have NEVER bolused for protein, I don't shy away from carbs at all so my body doesn't break down protein into glucose
