Returned to the car tonight to find some so and so has nicked my number plates! On the bright side got home quicker not having to worry about speed cameras! :hilarious:

BG stayed stable though.

Back home and had a lovely night's sleep in my own bed which helped to keep the BG back in check.
It's blowing a hooley here, too. Thankfully not too cold and the rain may be persistent but it is not heavy.
I'm checking out the new spin studio over lunch - I expect to be blown down the hill to get there.
I haven't spun since I've been pumping but expect this introductory class to be relatively easy so I will make no basal alteration beforehand. The GlucoTabs will be close to hand at all times though.

In the meantime, I have work to catch up on from the last two days out and my next trip to London to book.
Please be careful with using umbrellas @helensaramay

Hello friends

Firstly many thanks to you wonderful group of people for your well wishes for yesterday’s cataract op

My goodness it was nervous ( like when I visit the dentists)

I’m doing fine and the foggy vision has gone and what a difference to be able to see clearly again

I’m on the waiting list for my other eye to get done so I know what to expect

Friends - thank you
It is a magical moment when you first open that eye !! The other thing I noticed, moreso when both eyes had been done was that some colours had changed, Suddenly I was agreeing with my wife about the new colours for the bedroom!!
But was I going to blame the cataracts?? For marital harmony I just said that I had been mistaken !!

Sunshine, almost clear sky and light southerly breeze and shopping day - which means a cappuccino at the end!!
And the less carbs I eat now the better I feel. (as long as a hypo does not sneak up on me).
I have written to our beleaguered local health network in my area of Adelaide who are trying to deal with serious cost blowout to do with the opening of the new Royal Adelaide Hospital last September.
Yes, they opened it in the middle of 'flu season, Go figure.
The area includes also GP practices, other hospitals, nursing homes, health services and clinics.
I sung the praises of the Low Carb programme and hope they seriously take up something similar. The less people with diabetes that need to go to hospital the easier it will be to deal with the cost blowout, amongst other potential cost savings.
And there is a meeting of the local JDRF for Xmas on Sunday, so I will be preparing some paper kites and take-hime paper kite kits to take along for the children and the big children called adults !!

... The person now in possession of your plates won't be worrying either.
Hope you reported it to the law & got a case number? It may help your defence if you get points drop though your door regarding a "photo shoot" you never attended.. ;)

Car cloning. Someone's driving about with no tax, MOT or insurance @your expense..

The real cruncher is when they create a new, false V5 document and sell the car. That led to all manner of bother for some friends of ours, who ended up with the police at their door, and a long wrangle with their insurers when they'd done nothing. The perpetrators had done things like recreate the VIN and a few other things. As the perpetrators had then gone on to sell the car, the car had been bought twice - once by our friends, new from the dealership and the second couple, bought in good faith.

For our friends it ended fine (aside from a load of hassle). I can't recall the detail for the others, but their outcome wasn't so happy and I seem to recall they ended up out of pocket by a significant sum.

Yes, @slip , in your shoes, I'd want what happened reported and recorded.

Worst thing that happened to me was out with my (then) boyfriend. Strolled back to the car, from the cinema, to find his brand new SAAB (yes, it was a long time ago!), sitting on bricks, devoid of all wheels. This was in the posh, aspirational end of Glasgow!

Yes all reported to the police with a case number - it's now flagged on their system so I hope it does get picked up on a ANPR camera and they can quickly sort it out. Off to Halfords later to get replacements........an early xmas present to myself (which I didn't really need!).

Thanks all for your concern.

It's OK, you can always buy a trailer for the spare plates when it's all sorted.

Good morning all. Well can honestly say my Libre and MM are working :) Had my tea last night and thought I had done my jab....8pm and my alarm is going mad...11.1 and double arrow straight up! Checked my Timesulin, 7hrs since the lid was off last. DOH! BIG correction dose and by 10.30 was on a steady 5.5 steady line......Woke this morning to a 5.9 :)

Morning all, peaceful night here. Change of basal profile because of hormones, which is mildly inconvenient as I’m driving to Liverpool this afternoon. Might end up running a little high, but that’s better than low when on the road!

Hi Ian, well done on your cataract op,sure things will settle down nicely for you,I am having an examination to see if I can get mine done.....nail biting....

Hello Mr Clive I’m a big baby and was dreading this procedure but in all honesty I was thinking the worst and in reality it was fine

The transformation is wonderful

Hope you can get yours sorted Clive
