Good morning my lovelies  Woke up feeling on top of the world for some reason. However, won't knock it! Tested at a gobsmacking, amazing 5.1 after yesterday's horrors.

Have no idea what's going on but clinging on to the merry-go-round anyway.

Have a great day all :)

Morning all!

Definitely got a Thursday's really my Friday (since I work Sundays) feeling this morning and wondering if I'm going to get through to the end of the real Friday. Which will teach me to cut the grass (45-minute job - but awkward because of a previous owner's liking for a lot of paving with stone edging. I'm considering asking if I can get rid of some of it) and do a supermarket shop on a Wednesday evening with a surge of "It's nearly the weekend" energy.

Good luck Karen! Don't forget the glucotabs - today will be stressy, but remember that they chose you, so they already think you're special and can do this job :)

Good morning all, diabetes was good to me overnight, awoke on 4.9, fab
I didn't do gardening yesterday so I want to get on and do it sometime this morning.
Had meatballs and spaghetti last night with daughter and boyfriend and he finished the bowl, which was lovely.
Have a Happy Thursday ...........................it's nearly the weekend :)

Well done @WuTwo I had a 4.9 this morning, top banana :)

Oh and a very good morning to you.

Hey guys, I've been type one for about a year now. Loving the ups and downs that come with it :/

I have just had a weird experience where I've had a hypo 3.4. But been having a bad day with taking my insulin. So I had about 50g of carbs with tea at about 6pm but had no insulin other than my normal morning and evening doses. Anyone know why this might be, as far as I am aware and my DSN agrees I'm not in my honeymoon phase anymore.

HMMM not sure to be honest. Many things can cause blood sugar drops, stress, walking upstairs, almost getting that monster kill score in COD but you may have just had the right coloured odd socks on to.

I would make a note of it for future reference but it may just be some insulin being spat out by the pancreas before it decides to give up the ghost.

@karen8967 Good luck chuck I'm sure it will be fine.

Well this morning was interesting, was out last night carb guess tastic all the way, but kept things civil. Woke and thought I was at 5.6 but no a further check a little later 4.6 BUT :banghead: by this time I had already injected  and you guessed it crash to a 2.2 ~sigh~ no worries several Jelly Babies :joyful: (none microwaved) and back up enough to drive in. So might be a fight later on

@db89 Not seen a random inverse spike like that before could be compression don't know.

Morning all, and good luck @karen8967 ❤️

@db89 I’ve had the odd one of those, but usually the sensor is towards the end of its life and is quite noisy anyway.

Not teaching today, wondering how the lad who got beaten up yesterday is doing. Will find out tomorrow, I suppose.

Definitely missing @kitedoc and Scott C, along with the lovely @kev-w :(

Morning all, @karen8967 like everyone's said you'll be great.

Hi @paulchew1988 I agree with Knikki; not sure from your post whether you'd exercised or when you lst took insulin, but if everything was normal and there's no explanation, sometimes this T1 just does its own thing. If it happens again maybe need to analyse whether there's anything you're doing that you hadn't factored in - or change your socks ;)

Morning all! Sounds like a busy day for a lot of us.

Firstly, hope your induction goes well @karen8967 and that you like the look of the work.
Argh, I hate messing up morning pre-driving boluses @Knikki!
I suppose it's getting towards end of life @Mel dCP, there's still a weekend to go. It's behaved itself since. Hopefully the lad at the school is OK.
Have a good day with the training @helensaramay and the gardening @Robinredbreast.

If I've missed anyone who posted this morning my apologies but have a good day also :)

Late morning all, not a good night last night. Hamish says I’ve been overdoing it so wakeful with pain from 1-3 am and then a 13.8 this morning, grrrrrrrrr!!!!!
Karen, your new employers have hit the jackpot now they have you with them, hope the intro to work goes happily.
Missing all the people who’ve left and happy the rest of you are still here despite being green at all those wonderful waking bgs

Had to come in and test, 3.0 !!. I had 1/2 unit of Insulin @ breakfast for 12 carbs and still I go hypo. oh for flips sake :banghead::arghh::arghh: so frustrating and sitting here ( for a short while) to get BS up and eager to get back to gardening :)
