@Knikki if you have Port, you need some cheese ... or strawberries.
I used to have Port and poker evenings: one bottle of Port, a plate of cheese, a group of friends, £5 into the poker chip pot, a pack of cards and fun was had by all. I rarely got much of my £5 back at the end of the night but I was willing to make the donation.

@Knikki . Port, Stilton cheese and cream crackers. Food and drink of the gods.:)
Enjoy your decadent evening. I’m seeing less Captain Scarlet and more Noel Coward this evening.
@helensaramay. Great idea for a Christmas party. May have to settle for port and happy families though.

Oops, the Craddock wife’s name’s been automatically modded. Can’t think of a woman further from naughty than she was! Tweed skirts, sensible woollies, sensible shoes, and a tough hand with the steak and kidney

She was a bit "rock & roll..." & knew how to rough up a turkey.
You could try a "workaround" with "Phyllis Nan Sortain Pechey?" ;)

You're a rider...? I was brought up around horses. (probably over 20 years since sitting in a saddle?) Riding whilst hypo was interesting. LOL, the steed would lose focus too...

Got there, though it took a bit of a wander through the maze. Phew,

I’m off up the wooden hill in to Bedfordshire so night night folks. Proud of Hamish, he did the longest continuous walk today, through the woods, enjoying the new leaves, primroses, and a few bluebells. It’s better than a good thing to get back to a little bit of proper walking and car-free air. Hate the term ‘forest bathing’ though, why can’t a walk in the woods just be called what it is.

Evening all.

Well went to the record store which was nice but it was busy, as expected, so did not stay long, did not get anything because nothing really said "buy me". I will be going back when it is quieter for another mooch and maybe trade some vinyl in for some new used stuff :)

I do use digital and currently looking for a new DAP because I don't like the sound out of phones and really want a dedicated music player :)

I'm now going to wind up the gramaphone, clean the wax cylinder and pour myself a large glass of port, while sat here in my smoking jacket in a good old fashion Victorian opium den and looking for cookery programs from an modded certain lady cook :hilarious::hilarious::hilarious:
Prefer 'starboard' meself !!! LOL

My only memories of the aforementioned Mrs Craddock are from momentary clips on tv shows. But I think it’s fair to say that she was from a different era.
Good morning :)

Good morning everyone. Nice to see @kitedoc back on the thread.
Sunshine at the moment and fingers crossed it lasts for a few more hours.
Enjoy your Sunday and whatever it involves.

Good morning, it's a lovely sunny day again. Got to Egham and it rained, but the sun did come out and on to Windsor. I had a lovely evening with a 3 course meal too :hungry: prawn cocktail, Swiss cheese steak and poached pairs:hungry:
Son's birthday today, so going to see him about lunchtime with my daughter :)
Happy Sunday guys
