Type of diabetes
Type 2
hello i have type 2 diabetes and was diagnosed last july , i suffer with general fatigue all the time . my blood levels are around 4.5 - 5.8 im currently tacking metformin 3 times a day , can anybody tell me if i can help myself from feeling so tired all the time , i sleep 6 hours a night but then have to have a sleep in the day . when im ill all i do is sleep .
im really just looking for some suggestions to help fight my fatigue . im 44 and feel like 94 most of the time with no energy and generally sleepy all the time or want to sleep :D

Have you had your B12, Folic and vitamin D levels checked?
I completely relate to feeling like 94. Its horrible to go to sleep and to wake up just as exhausted when you wake up.

I'll add to that - have you had your thyroid checked? Another reason for fatigue would be high BS levels, but you don't seem to have that.

I was misdiagnosed with chronic fatigue and I had Vitamin D deficiency.

hello denise thank you for replying , my thyroid is ok and like you said my bs are quite normal i guess , i hate feeling so tired all the time . i was hoping someone would come up with a simple miracle cure for the tiredness ha ha

I have had lots of bloods done and the only one that was strange was my liver showed it was equivalent to a heavy drinker ( i dont drink alcohol haven't now for 4 years as i also have anxiety and even before those 4 years i only had the occasional drink . (STRANGE BUT TRUE). :?
i only have a slight grazing of low olive spread and eat no other fats .
Thank you :D for you replies and suggestions that was very kind of you to think of me

Maybe the reason for the tiredness is because you eat very little fat in your diet ,your body needs good fats .Try adding some butter olive oil or coconut oil to your diet and see how you feel
