Just one question... When you said I should leave out the bread and potato waffles from my English breakfast, I wasn't sure what you meant when you said "farl". Is this a West Midlands term for Ulster Fry
desperate_dave said:Okay Ken, here goes (I’ve just put a question mark for words I couldn’t quite understand)…
Folk were asked what should be put ????? and Ulster Fry. Everybody agreed that it should have bacon, eggs, ?????? and soda bread. Over the years Ulster folk got overly fond of sausages, black (and white?) pudding, tomatoes and mushrooms. And that folk agreed that hash browns best from America and the baked beans best English.
Let me know how I did. :?

I can tell you now Dave - it'll be fine!desperate_dave said:Great stuff!
Right, Ken, I'm just about to have some breakfast... I know, I'm late again but I slept in a little longer than I intended to this morningI'm basically having the same as yesterday minus the bread and potato waffles. It'll be interesting to see my BG result an hour after eating. I'm just off to crank up the George Foreman... I'll be back (Geez, I sound like a poor man's Arnold Schwarzenegger!)

That's great! Now try 90 mins, 120 mins........2 and 3 hour aren't going to be very relevant. Not that I expect that 90 & 120 to be either!desperate_dave said:Wow! Just checked my BG (one hour after my English brekkie) and it's 4.8. Is this normal or should it be higher? Not that I'm complaining, you understand? Does this low reading mean I can indulge in a Mars Bar?.... Just kidding!
