They give you the glucose and then send you off to do whatever you want for a couple of hours before taking the blood? Sounds like you'd get a much more realistic assessment than the hospital's way- parking you in a waiting room for 2 hours- and as a patient you wouldnt feel quite so irritated at the waste of time. Good set up- pity more arent like that. Just hope that I can get results as good as yours when I get closer to the target weight. Good luck.

The reason the hospital do that minn is so they can get a controlled result, if they allow people to wander off and do what they like some may ride 5 miles on there bike while others may do very little so the results are compromised. Only when all patients do the same amount of exercise ie none, can a GTT be of any use :thumbup:
