Hi, my name is Andrew Marley and I currently hold degrees in Sports Biomedicine from Dundee University and Strength and Conditioning from Abertay University. I am currently undertaking a masters in research (MSc) and I am looking for 15 participants in and around the Dundee area with type 2 diabetes. The aim of the study is to develop a sugar free sports drink that looks to improve and prevent hyperglycaemia in people with type 2 diabetes, specifically post exercise. This would make exercise easier and safer for those with type 2 diabetes. A pilot study has shown promise and the study has been granted ethical approval from the University of Abertay. All participants will be given £35 upon their completion of the study for their troubles.
