Quite a weird day. I went back to bed after I got up, and slept until 2pm. I have been getting by on not enough sleep for a few weeks now, and I found myself rather tired on Thursday evening. This had a knock-on effect on bedtime today, so I will have to get to bed early tomorrow. My weight went up a lot as a result of lots of salt on Thursday, leading to water retention. Over the next few days this will come off, particularly if the water is upped. I went out for a curry, and had no problem with making healthy low carb/high fat choices. We watched a movie afterwards, which is part of the stress reduction program, to make tome for relaxing and spending time with the family. Day 19 - Weight: 115.4 kilos / BMI 37.6 / Waist to Height Ratio: 66% 7.29am - FBG: 6.2 8.27am - DP: 6.5 ? - Under 5.2: This didn't happen, and I ate out in the evening with my family 6.56pm - Pre-meal: 5.6 9.12pm - Post-meal (2hrs): 6.8 ? - Post-meal (3 hrs): ? 3.16am - Bedtime: 6.4 Meal: Chicken tikka, chicken makhani, green salad. Pork scratchings, olives, guacamole, soft cheese. Coffee with double cream, all other fluids water. I am adding a couple of twists of himalayan pink salt to meals to increase my salt intake (not today - too much salt already). Carbs: est 25g Protein: est 130.9g Fat: est 202.3g Cals: est 2466 Length of Fast: 25hrs ?mins Average BG Before Fasting Experiment: 7.0 Today's Average BG Reading: 6.5 Breathalyser reading: 0.0% BAC Interestingly the estimated HbA1c on the mySugr app has come down by around 0.2 - 0.4 points every day so far: 41.9 - Day 1 (baseline) 39.9 - Day 8 38.8 - Day 15 38.6 - Day 16 38.5 - Day 17 38.5 - Day 18 38.5 - Day 19 I suspect that doing more readings whilst intermittently fasting has probably skewed this a little downwards.
