Type 2 help

Hiall this Los my 1st post so please forgive me if got it wrong.. doh!
Last year I was diagnosed T2 iv always been fit and never over weight and healthy water.. tho if taken steroids for 10 years as i have a condition called sarcoidosis. Last year my b.s. was pretty much around 5- 8 each time I tested and was taking 33units of insulin in morning and 8 units at 5pm
However early this year they started to rise to 11 - 14 ish withno change in diet and has increasedslightly sometime going into the20s

So after seeing my nurse as ithought.. she said iv becomeinsulin resistant .. so she advisedthat I keep using the insulin withthe same units but start takingmetamorfin.. 500g after eveningmeal.. so after 2 nights my m s hasshot up to about 17 19 each time Itest.. no change in diet ..

Is this normal ???
She also suggested an injectiononce a week but iv totally forgotwhat its for..

So sorry the long story but anyinsite would greeeeat ... Shaneconfused xx

What is your diet?
My doctor and nurses never mentioned eating fewer carbs to control diabetes but it has done wonders for my blood glucose levels.
Many diabetics use such things as coconut oil, which I believe is considered appropriate for sarcoidosis, but avoid such things as the sweeter fruits and more starchy vegetables.
With insulin most Type Ones eat a diet with sugars and starches, but many Type Twos were already insulin resistant at diagnosis, so the only option for control is less input. Those raised blood glucose readings are rather concerning.
Have you had a HBa1c test recently?

Hi thanks for the reply .. my diet is pretty much low carb and hi fat . Tho my nurse was against it but after she seen results from when I was low carbing last year she said after seeing my b s when put on the bus recommended diet i can go back to low carbs. Meat veg no pots or starchy foods . Etc its just since iv started the tablets with insulin the b s has rocketed
Had my test last week waiting for results next week
