Type 2 Life

Your step brother sounds so cute. He is your buffer as he gets it....

Well meaning friends n family can hurt us. So hard to get my head around....

5.9 this morning, after a complete nightmare day yesterday. Left home at 5am, finally back at 10:30pm. Knackered.

Forgot to test my FBG this morning

@Hiitsme I think that's an excellent plan when eating out, to treat it as a 'test meal' and just note the numbers for future reference. I took that approach to a couple of meals during my recent holiday and it meant I could eat out with my family and not deprive myself. Having made a conscious decision to test higher carb foods, I didn't feel so guilty when my BG shot up - in fact I found it a really useful vindication of my day-to-day WOE.

@Gravity-Carb I can't help but picture you as some kind of diabetic cub scout, always coming prepared with a cauliflower or celeriac For 3 years following my diagnosis I had no idea about LCHF and couldn't get my diet under control, just craving sugar all the time, maybe that's what's happening in your extended family. As for your friend who knows the truth but still keeps sabotaging herself ( and trying to lead you astray too) yep, she needs some CBT!!!

Thanks for the reply. I've still got lots to learn so I wanted to check that I wasn't being stupid. It's all a learning curve and sometimes we are going to make mistakes. It's great to be able to share things with others who are have more experience.

Yep, this forum has reassured me many times! I'm only a few months into LCHF so can't claim to have lots of experience, but I'm happy to share what has worked for me. And whatever you're doing is obviously working well for you, since you've halved your HbA1c in 3 months! Good work

I get the next HbA1c result tomorrow so hoping for even better, A bit tense though!

Hi folks. BG 5.2 fasting today. Beautiful, warm, sunny day in Newcastle. Nipped down to the coast this morning for a walk along the seafront. A good few miles walked, from Whitley Bay to Tynemouth and back. Treat myself to an icecream cornet as I sat & watched people going for a paddle. Maybe the sea was too cold to swim coz no one was taking a dip. Lots of young uns with their bucket n spades on the sand though. Timeless fun. Enjoy the rest of your Tuesday everyone. Good health. X

He is gorgeous and very protective of big sisters food. He knows I have special milk, cheese etc and can't eat nuts because of my allergies.
Romano is very bright and aware if what is going on.
You know what they say we can't choose our families but friends are the family we choose for ourselves.

6.1 but I'm stressed. Doctor this afternoon and HbA1c result.

Five point seven this morning, and it's not raining down yer in the South West.

The part of down yer in the South West I live in has been foul for several days - Think I'll move to Piddletrenthide or Shitterton in the Piddle Valley then I can blame it on the address

To top it all, bad night sleep, BS levels 6.4

Morning Folks

Was raining very hard here earlier but brightening up nicely now, 5.5 on rising but I have been suffering a bit with burning pain in my feet for the last few days.

I am hoping this is because my damaged nerves are recovering (previously, I had virtually no feeling at all....) but I wish they'd get on with it...

Hello folks. Hope you're all having a good Wednesday. After a couple of beautiful sunny, warm days in Newcastle, today has been showers galore. My valet guy had to reschedule my car tidy-up due to the rain. **** it. Boy, it doesn't half need a good clean. I'm not messy, no litter or stuff strewn around inside my car, like I've seen some other folks. Am I unusual in "naming" my cars. My last cars have been Scarlett & Neville...this ones called Bobby. Oh dear! Think I've lost the plot.

BG a higher than usual
6.5 fasting this morning. This diabetes business can be a complete pain in the butt. Best wishes & good health everyone. x

@Alisonjane10 in 'Saff' London the rain has been sporadic but the sky has consistantly been grey.

Same as you with the F-BS of 6.5...a complete pain in the proverbial, this 'beeties malarkey.

London is damp and grey. Just been over to the chemist and B drove straight though a puddle. I am soaked.
