Same time tomorrow? Oh no, wait - I'll be knee-deep in toddlers and Black Forest Gateau tomorrow...

@johnnybaker45 you are doing well by coming on here and trying to learn from others. You mentioned in a previous post that you have carers to support you with buying food and cooking. Do talk to your social worker or care coordinator about what you are trying to achieve with your blood sugars, and request that the care workers support you appropriately by buying the relevant food etc.Good Morning, my friends, on this pleasant April morning in the year 2016,
I've had a good morning and took my medication, metformin, and other medications for my Adult ADHD and Asperger Syndrome and high blood pressure and urinary retention. I also had a few cups of coffee but with 0 calorie silver spoon artificial sweetener tablets. I also had two slices of Kingsmill white bread with a generous layer of Marmite spread on them. And my friend Matthew brought over some sandwiches that the church had donated to his wife, a rotund, diabetic west indian lady with a heart of gold and a tremendous aptitude for loving other people, and she told Matthew to bring them over for me. I had a small, but tasty and moderately filling felafel wrap which had shredded red cabbage and cucumber in it. I took my blood sugar at quarter past nine and it was 12.4, very high considering I took my metformin. I am doing appalling at managing my diabetes, and don't think I have much control over what I eat and have very little dietary knowledge. People with Adult ADHD struggle with this and my Asperger Syndrome symptoms make it very difficult for me to consume fruit and veg because the taste makes me feel very nauseous and I don't like the texture of them. That contravenes the way I was brought up because my mum and dad used to put veggies and stuff through a liquidiser and pour the contents in a baby bottle before I was on solids. I'm doing appalling I really am. But it's so cool to have you guys for support and emotional encouragement and for that I am so grateful and thankful.
Awake at 6am and energenic?Tonight's one of those challenges. My partner is away unexpectedly, worked until 7pm, totally whacked. In the old days it would be a delivery night. Thankfully found a Chicken Korma from COOK in the freezer, with some broccoli, 10g carbs - a few biscuits and cheese, plus some red wine. Just need to get over the slight low I'm feeling about diabetes tonight. I know I was good all week, 5 good swims, good food, but when you are tired it's a challenge to keep good control.
At least I didn't give in, sorry for rambling - tomorrow I'll be rested and strong again
@eldergarth you will have a good hba1c result but if you're having a different problem your gp needs to advise.well done @Lindy1706 on those results I know you have come a long way to get there since you joined us
got my review on Tuesday so fingers crossed my hba1c will have improved but my levels are all over the place at the moment with the pain in my hips and knees .

You have had a rollercoaster lately. It can affect hormones etc...
Take heart you're doing fantastic. You're kicking diabetes' s but.
I must add you're very good at it. You're come back was perfect. Angelic even!
@PenfoldAPD you're a shining example of a brilliant diabetic.
You should be very proud of yourself. Well done.
Keep going with your winning formula. It is worth it.
Hi Vicki all that was said at hospital was they would have results from my xrays in 2 weeks and would send the results to my gp@eldergarth you will have a good hba1c result but if you're having a different problem your gp needs to advise.
What did your gp say?
Hi will I think it is but told me that the hospital would review the xrays before being sent to gp "just in case " there was anything that needed urgent attention@eldergarth - Hi. But, is that not just a 'standard statement' that the X-Ray technicians just say! Only because my Mum-in-law had a chest x-Ray done on Monday, she rang GP Surgery yesterday to be told the results were back and got an appointment to see GP on Monday. Just a thought, but you could ring your GP Surgery on Monday to ask?
