Well done, Johnny - you really are making big changes in all areas of your life!!Good Afternoon, my good, dear friends on www.diabetes.co.uk,
I am posting to share with you all that I only had a small lunch today which comprised a sandwich made from 1 slice of white Kingsmill bread, Countrylife English butter and 1 fried egg. This followed an early meal of button sprouts boiled for 15 minutes with butter and I have also had 2 glasses of nice, thirst-quenching and refreshing tap water. I am also actively participating in my smoking cessation preloading programme, intended by nhs smokefree for individuals with a long term illness to gradually diminish the cigarettes they smoke whilst using nicotine replacement therapy products and combat the withdrawal symptoms of tobacco. I have only smoked 13 hand-rolled ciggies as opposed to my 40+ ciggies.
I am hoping to have a Beef Lasagne ready meal from Iceland supermarket tonight.
I am also contemplating trying the cauliflower rice that a www.diabetes.co.uk member suggested to myself. I don't own a food processor but I do have an extraordinary-looking potato masher which should do the trick. It is good to improvise. I shall have the cauliflower rice with my curried tuna and chopped onion meal as opposed to consuming complex carbohydrate-rich rice.
Have a lovely Saturday afternoon and hugs to each and every one of you.
Yes, you are not the only one to come to that conclusionI do wonder if there are trolls on these forums, which I find an odd thing to write. There have been one or two threads on "Fats" that really make me wonder.... hmmmm....
No problem will its not my back but my pelvis that's the problem severe pain both sides of my pelvis making it very hard to walk and have very limited movement in my hips@eldergarth - That's good and reassuring to know that 'anything' found can be treated immediately. Do you suffer with lower back problems at all? Is that why you had the X-Ray of the pelvis? Sorry if you think I am being nosey! It's just that I have lower back trouble that affects my legs from time to time.
Have got my diabetes review on Tuesday hoping they will have results then but not holding my breath@eldergarth - Oh, well I hope you get a diagnosis and hope it is not too serious, and treatment and/or remedy can begin. Would you keep us updated on the Forum on your progress? Thanks

Thanks Vicky but during the day my levels are all over the place due to the pain I think and possibly stress@eldergarth please be forceful with your gp for a diagnosis. I received similar advice when I had suspected neuropathy but it turned out to be scistica. Your mind plays tricks and make you worry unnecessarily. So the sooner you get diagnosed the better for your mental health and bgs.
I must say thou your bgs are looking great. I'll eat my hat if tuesday's review is anything but exceptional too. Well done keeping the figures low. You are giving yourself the best chance of enjoying your life and those around you.

lol I wish them luck. Once you tell them your ailments, diseases and conditions they'll run a mile. lol@ickihun - hi Vicky and how are you doing?. Got a bloody Health Questionaire and an Assessment to fill in for DWP and I'm fed up with it.
Just done my BG last eat at 1pm and at 7.7 that's got to be down to pain or stress@eldergarth - You are right, in that Stress, Worry and Pain pushes up blood sugars.
Or the liver or bad circulation or hormones or antibodies.Just done my BG last eat at 1pm and at 7.7 that's got to be down to pain or stress
You have the same feelings as me William" no point worrying about it we have it so might as well just get on with it " but it sure would be nice to get answers a lot quicker@eldergarth - Yes, I agree with you completely. And you are just within range at 7.7. Whereas, I was 9.7 at 3.30pm and I ate Garlic Mushrooms on 1 slice of toasted Wheatgerm bread for lunch at 1pm. But, I have been in more pain these last 3 days and not getting much sleep and am just miserable!Still, I always believe there are others worse than me!
Thanks Vicky you always now how to put the smile back on my face and be that light at the end of the tunnel .Or the liver or bad circulation or hormones or antibodies.
More can go against us type 2s. Other types can have just one fraction making their bgs problematic. Mind you other types can have multipal fractions influencing bgs but if only one it's more straight forward.
You're type 2 with possible young arthritis or similar. Type 2s have to contend with everything increasing their bgs but very very little lowering them. (Meds only)
In my experience exercise increases my bgs. Never lowers them because the amount of stress involved counteracts its benefits. Enjoyable movement works for me. Everyone is different.
Get that diagnosis asap so everyyhing else can find its place in your life successfully. Right for you!
I cannot wait to see your lower hba1c result and your drs opinion on all your hard work.
William you do a fantastic job at fighting the cause. Poor @eldergarth is just starting to have painful hips. I hope they diagnose him quickly so he can find his solution like you. I think the not knowing is sooooo stressful. The relief of diagnosis and pain management makes life worth living again. Its the limbo that makes more anguish unnecessary.@eldergarth - Yes, I agree with you completely. And you are just within range at 7.7.
