@ickihun - Yeah, I agee with you Vicky, to actually know what it is and what treatment(s) are available gives you peace of mind, it's the not knowing which causes more stress, as we all tend to think it's something really terribly wrong with us. I've enjoyed chatting with you both = @ickihun and @eldergarth - I've got to get my bones off this settee and start preparing dinner. Chat later

Ah, well, my phone thinks I should write a new message as it has thrown away the previous one I was about to send when Bligh wanted his ears scratched. Way behind on posts cos I think everyone and his/her dog has been posting on the threads I follow. Sorry of I've missed replying to anyone and likes to all. Since getting up with my alarm for dog walks this morning (first time in 4 weeks) I've felt totally out of it. Have a lovely couple who walk them on Sat

Girls. Is anyone having sweats whilst doing nothing during there period.
I haven't had many in my lifetime due to infertility then pregnancy. My mum would just jump to maybe starting the change. I'm old enough at 45 but is it sugar related, heart related maybe. A few months ago I was having palpatations but new med stopped them thank god. Supposidly from canagliflozin, I've just read. I always thought it was from salt intake change from starting lchf. Gp never let on why but newish tablet for nhs.
I missed swimming today. Hubby found me a shopping errand instead. If I didn't know better I'd think he didn't like me going.
It must have been the mention of a david beckham look alike was in the pool last week. He knows he's too polished for me.
I need a swimming substitute as our pool is becoming over run with swimming lessons
 
Hi all. Weeks ago told hospital about problems with eye, just got back from A&E. I be had a vitrious detachment start in my eye, nothink they can do, when it's complete must go straight to A&E! Can cause blindness. Great

It just happens no warning had same with othere eye, just had words in A & E. Waited 4 hours, they kept putting othere's in front, when it happened before waited several hours at A&E!!! Hospital is hour away. It's already started detaching, frightened life out of me before, thought I'd got spiders crawling all over my face! Told no lifting or carrying. Thanks for your kind words. They said op may have caused it as it does happen after

. About 7 yrs ago I got knocked over by a woman's pushchair & hit my head the first time, trauma can cause the detachment, I had headaches for 3 weeks after & floaters then when it finally detached I had bright light flashes & floaters got worse it seemed like I'd got big black spiders crawling over my face, not ashamed to say I screamed, frightened the life out of me, thought they were spiders, I'm petrified of spiders, went straight to A&E they told me that's when it finally detached, but this eye now has othere problems also, before I had a Periphial tear, and a bleed and had it lazerd, got macular so that's added risks, the detachment happens to most people after 50urs old cos of age doctor said, so it would probsbly happen anyway at sometime, but was told this can happen after catarach op but I didn't know that, everythink has risks. My othere eye is ok I presume, it has macular but, just got to get on with it, stress will only cause more problems, sorry been moaning to long I do apologise
 
@maureen5752 never mind apologising for the moaning, of which you're not. I hope you had a good nights rest. You're one brave cookie. I have so much respect for you in this time of anguish. I hope when I have eye problems I think of you and how strong you are being throughout. You're my inspiration. I'm so pleased you post on here. You enrich our lives with your experience. I feel privileged to be able to hear of your eye problems. Knowledge is wealth. Right now I feel very wealthy reading your posts. Invaluable experience you have!
 
Been awake since 4am. Very bad thrush, thanks Iceland creamy ice cream. A treat too far.
I'm just thinking it's a shame I couldnt use all this heat to heat my house. Something similiar to solar panels. Which I can plug in to a converter. Ha ha
I'd be worth a fortune. Ha ha
 
I think the same when I get the slightest infection as my temperature goes above 40 degrees centigrade.
 
FBG at 6.7 this morning. Higher than I like, had been awake for a while due to my partner forgetting to switch the alarm off Maybe the cheese and biscuits snack didn't help late last night. Should be back on track today - I am baking for the first time since diagnosis, but will try not to eat the whole cake.

And the sun is shining, and it's May Day - so all is not bad.

@ickihun sorry you've been awake for hours ... hope the toddler allows you some rest today (or wishful thinking?)
 
Morning, FBG 7.6 mmol/l. Just about to inject insulin and do brekkie.
