Type 2 Life

Back in the 5s FBG club today! 5.8, and weight at 72.9 - still working towards a base 70kg. Rubbish eaten in Germany out of my system now it appears, and I'm feeling so much better again.

And, the sun is shining - so life isn't too bad
 
Morning, sunny again. Had a lay in this morning. I'm off today and have a lot of appointments. First the hospital diabetes clinic at 11.20am. Injected insulin and FBG 5.9.
 
4.2 again. I started taking lipoic acid after reading dr bernsteins book and poster tim55 suggested some months ago for neuropathy which luckily turned out to be sciatica and went after stopping exercise.
R-ala tablet is most likely helping my bgs and fbg. I stopped canagliflozin early last week after horrendeous side affects.
I will reduce my insulin today as although 4.2 is great for me and my moral I still need to lose weight. So tomorrows fbg will be higher.
I don't mind 6s or 7s as long as I lose weight.
Any other insulin takers reduced their units recently?
I'll start a new thread as I know there is a section for insulin takers.

I priced up holland and barrett almond flour yesterday. £9.99 for 500g WHAT!
I'll buy a grinder and make my own. Lidl almonds less than £2 per 200g. Yep. Twice as cheap. Only have to soften skins, towel dry then grind to flour.
I fancy cake making and cookies.
Hopefully mid next week. I'll have to freeze when I can otherwise they'll be eaten too quickly.
 
New picture @ickihun Almond flour is pricey isn't it! On the lemon cake I made recently the recipe mixes Soy Flour with Ground Almonds - soy flour is relatively cheap I think. Enjoy your baking. I'm trying to find a sugar free recipe to make marshmallows for the campfire tomorrow ....
 
Had breakfast and better get my azz going in an hour. Been pretty sluggish this morning, over sleeping sometimes backfires on you.
 
I will get a new HbA1c today, not optimistic. Good thing with the hospital is the instant results with their testing equipment.

morning Vicky still struggling along with the pain as still haven't herd anything back from hospital as yet about my xrays got doctors this afternoon to see about some painkillers so can get back to work next week but have decided that if my legs go again I will just get tina to ring for ambulance and cut out the middle men .
my legs at moment are at there worse by the evening that's why not been spending much time on here plus been having problems with the app like others on here .
hope to have some good news soon to share with you all but not holding my breath also since my D/N took me off the glicalzide my FBG levels have increased to the mid 7's and as high as the 9's .

Ron when I had scistica it wasn't on and off just on.
What do you think an x-ray will show? What do you think the problem is?
Do you stand up all day at work?
Someone mentioned arthritis. Would an x-ray pick that up?
I'm sorry if I sound daff. I have no knowlege or experience of bones and joints. I only did basic health when I trained to be a nurse. Oh and women's things due to 4 women in our house growing up. Poor dad.
 
Sorry to admit this but I have made a clanger, found my hospital appt letter and says 05/05/2016 at 11.20am. Phoned and confirmed I missed it. When I spoke on the phone she said "next Thursday" and methinks I wrote 12 may a week ahead. They will send me another appt. Really annoyed with myself. Glad I didn't go and look like an idiot. Oh well still got bloods at 1.10pm and GP at 3.30pm. I can go and get a haircut now and soak some rays up.
 
Addenda found my bloods and GP appt cards and they are today - whew !
 
Just having my Elevense's Coffee, then going to start again = with the Laundry.
