Type 2 Life

Fasting 14.8 today
A week ago it was 33.0
My legs feel like taking a little walk in the sunshine I have become a couch spud this last week

How is @eldergarth and the good wife @tina_marie ?
Morning Vicky , not to bad thanks . Just the odd niggling sciatic pain. Nothing as bad as Rons . I'm following peoples postings hope all is well with everyone . Will let you know how we get on at doctors later.

Hi Vicky was told by doc couple of weeks ago that with the limited movement in my hips that it looked like arthritis and sent me for xray as it shows as inflammation of the joints .
I am on my feet alday at work as I run a very busy trade counter for a flooring company and according to my pedometer my average per day is 7miles in an 8hr shift so needless to say this is a very big problem for me so I'm hoping it's nothing major and is something to do with my neuropathy and not arthritis but as they say only time will tell

Going to he nurse for bloods. I get my blood potassium levels checked monthly. I take Spironolactone and Ramipril which can both raise potassium levels which are very dangerous like dodgy heart rhythms and even a cardiac arrest. This is why they monitor me regularly.

Hi all finally managed to get connected , nut as soon as I post this message I wil be disconnected agsin, phoned diabetics yesterday reported problem, said they'd chech then ring me but heard nothink, same as last time. It's very very hot here but storm for sat for tonight and rain weekend. I can recieve PM but only part of them. Incomplete. So don't know what's going on. I can't acsess to send! So take care hope everyone's well, I'm stressed out, got someone making my life hell, still never mind. Just made some yoghurt! Love homemade yoghurt. Have good day.

Hope things go well with nurse good luck (hug)

I'm sure the diagnosis will be tactled like you have your diabetes. I have faith in you and tina's abilities to cope with this problem and get the best possible result from it.
My mum has a form of arthritis but I do understand there are a few different types. Is your problem worse when in cold weather or very hot weather? Worse after lying in bed for a long period. My mum has it in her back and arms but last week her gp told her now in her hips. He offered her a strong painkiller which gives reflux but now has medicine for it. She's much more comfortable and has gone back to her gardening.
What I'm really trying to say is you and tina will sort this out. It's never good to be left in limbo like this. I hope this afternoon starts some good treatment and a bit closure to the not knowing worry.
Thank god you have @tina_marie who is worrying too.

How dare someone make your life hell!
Can they be cut out of your life? No one needs that.
I hope they can. Get rid asap. You deserve better. ♡

Back in the 5s FBG club today! 5.8, and weight at 72.9 - still working towards a base 70kg. Rubbish eaten in Germany out of my system now it appears, and I'm feeling so much better again.

And, the sun is shining - so life isn't too bad
Well done!
Following experiences like the ones you've shared is really helpful and inspiring for the rest of us. Thank you!

don't really have a good or bad time with the pain Vicky when comes to the weather its constant pain but does get worse if been walking a lot .
how my left side of my hip feels is it moves forwards / backwards as it should but soon as I place any weight on my left leg I can feel the ball of the bone move inwards towards my groin needless to say this does hurt quite a bit so as a result my right leg is compensating and causing me more pain with the extra strain placed on it .
but you are write Vicky about Tina she is my rock and I would be lost without her .

@Skdiva88_ Hello and Welcome to the Forum Any questions you may want to ask, feel free to do so. We are all a friendly bunch on this forum and help, support each other as much as we can.

@eldergarth - That sounds really bad, and does it make a 'grating' noise? It could well be Arthritis - but, you need a definite diagnoses so you can get treatment and the appropriate pain relief. The sooner the better. Good Luck this afternoon at your Doctors.

Your right I do worry about him. Its been nice having him home so I can fuss over him , but I think all this waiting around is driving him nuts . He's one of those who thrives on work and he enjoys what he does. He's looking into getting a new car as the one we have he's now struggling to get in and out off. Suppose given time I will get use to all the diabetic down sides . It just seems to be one thing after another . Before we can get to the bottom of what's happening now I'm getting prepared for the next thing to happen. Ron mentioned pains in his legs to the doctor and nurse ages ago and nobody seemed bothered now this has happened.

@maureen5752 - Go out and buy a gun and shoot the 'B*****d', do Society a big favour and get rid.

it does feel like its grating at times William but I do have cartilage problems in my left knee so can be hard to tell if its my knee or hip grinding away .
have checked online again this afternoon but still no signs of the xray results on my medical records just the referral for libid clinic in july oh joy statins here we come

@ ickihun. Try to send message again, refused just. Phoned diabetes said theyd check out problem, heard nothink, it keeps saying I'm not registered!!! Takes ages to rejoin, as I keep being refused. Not doing my eyes any good. As to get rid of asap! Been trying to for ages! All I get is abuse! Anyway let's see if diabetes get back to me phoned yesterday

@tina_marie we are here for you too.
It might not be related to diabetes just like my sciatica wasn't. I'd done too much jogging too soon.
Our bodies change when our diets change. Different posture, different activity levels and sometimes we get away with it and sometimes we don't. That's everyone not just diabetics.
I hope its not diabetic related. But hay if it is there's help there too. I didn't realise just how much until I was doubting my sciatica diagnosis.
One of my old school friends was left in big trouble after having her last babies (twins) she has fully recovered. Very scary for her but I've only just reunited with her and she has had neurologist baffled but she has just gone back to full-time work as kids are 8. There is loads of help. ♡
Everyone is routing for you both.
We are here. Anytime.
