It's lovely when they do that.I must be her favourite, when I am in my niece's or sister's house she follows me everywhere like a stalker. That's a good sign of a good bond. She lays down next to me too and when I'm there she is only interested in my company.
I could do the easy option and get a cat. I don't dislike cats but I've always found dogs to be the most loyal and truly man's best friend. I'm sure I can see into their personalities and know there is a wee soul in there.
Well I got a surprise yesterday, she jumped up onto my lap and put her paws on my shoulders then proceeded to give me kisses. This is something she rarely does, she is not a wee toy dog. She doesn't mind me carrying her either which is something she is very uncomfortable with. The love of a dog is boundless ..... Until she bounds all over you
I'll be honest with you Vicky, walking is better than running. As humans we did not evolve to run everywhere and when I did it I felt my knee joints took a pounding.I think the exercise could make a big difference for me. I'm worried about scatica again but I'm going to try again by walking not jogging. Running machine being dusted down from garage for bedroom. I can watch toddler safely too. I do find the weather up north very unpredictable. We all have a nasty cold so had to cancel mum's visit and 6 day old baby meet.
Excellent sugars but a cold from eating veg - again! I'm always run down when I eat veg. Less calories maybe. Not sure! Not carb flu as had a few carbs last week.
Well done @13lizanne for finding your winning formula.
I started 50-100g carb today. 20g was making me feel ill, although gp told me my thyroid was overactive which I knew by trouble sleeping. He didn't reduce thyroxine as as he guessed not any more. In fact thyroid is all over the place which isn't helping.
I might end up back on 20g carb diet but will give less protein more walking a shot. The good bgs gives me the energy to tackle weight problem.
I go out with "ladies" lmaoDo you have the same effect with the women in your life
That's to @eddie1968 re your encounter with Doggy friend Bo
I go out with "ladies" lmao
Oh, harty-har-har! I've been out in the garden all day, working like a dog! Well, no actually the dog has been comfortably curled up fast asleep all day, along with the husband, and the pair of them have now gone to the pub.Where's @debrasue today ? Probably writing a best seller lol.

I've been scrubbing the grills on the barbecue, potting-up some new flowers, digging, weeding, shifting garden furniture, dead-heading, and rubbing down & repainting the firepit, which had got all rusty during the winter. Oh, and in between times I have nipped in and out of the kitchen to make pulled pork for dinner, emptying the dishwasher, and doing laundry.
I am now, officially, cream-crackered.
Nice to know you missed me, though!
(And I've left a couple of "naughty" extra commas in there, just for you!) LOL
You've left me feeling shattered just reading what you've done!! Mind you I have just come in from doggy walk. Wasn't as far as we wee going to go but he wanted to go down the path to Sainsbury's (again) I'm sure he knows it's a shorter walk.. or maybe he can smell food....but he's only do e it two out of his last 3 walks and its our regular route. Was hard work today and must have taken the same 30 mins for the shorter route. Am so glad he did turn there tho. Nice cuppa tea methinks before doggy teasOh, harty-har-har! That's interesting... I hadn't heard of carb flu until you mentioned it, Vicki, but now I've read up on it I'm wondering if it might be the cause of my escalating muscle pain, dizziness, and blurred vision. I've also felt for the past fortnight that I was getting a cold, but it's never properly materialised. Perhaps it's time for a potato with my dinner...I think the exercise could make a big difference for me. I'm worried about scatica again but I'm going to try again by walking not jogging.
