Morning guys. I'm up with the larks!
Off to see my mum today. (Lunchtime)
Was it you @debrasue who asked which arthritis tablet she's now getting? I'll ask her today to show me. She's had a good few days after her op and her neighbour/friends daughter had a baby this week too. My 3yr old will love her!
Well my fbgs and bgs are lower. I've reduced my huge prorein intake a little and had a few carbs so not ketosis status at mo. Although I had to reintroduce morning and afternoon insulin to replace canagliflozin.
I'm work in progress! (always will be ha ha)
I love roaming around threads. Especially old ones. I can put a picture together of where I'm going wrong weight loss wise.
I'm doing the right thing by slow improvements. Last time I was ill. I dashed into lchf and ended up on one more blood pressure tablet and pain killers for scatica.
I still get side affects from veg but I'll look at that again at a later date. Might be due to no appendix and disrupted gut bacteria. Not sure yet.
I really feel confident and definitely feel like I'm achieving something with my slow little changes.
My goal is to be lighter, fitter and less susceptible to scatica.
Ps. Old running machine for walking is being cleaned up and put in big bedroom. Live in a bungalow so no stairs to carry it up.
Sorry for the essay. Just wanted to give you an update. :)

Unkind people, failure to take personal responsibility.
So am I icihun. Good morning to you and to all of you. Let's have a great day. Church first for me, then a run, lunch and gardening. :)

I think that posting anything but your fasting levels is classed as going "off topic"
The rule:
If threads are going off-topic, posts may be edited and/or removed. Please try and keep threads on-topic. If you have additional questions, start a new thread - you can tag the user you want to talk to! Posts edited or deleted will be replaced with the text: 'Message edited/deleted by moderator'.
:);)
Where are you @bigjohn9916 ? You've gone off topic that much you've disappeared. Hope you are well. Hope to see you posting again soon. :)

You have no need to apologise, Vicki, your posts give great insight to those of us still struggling to understand how diabetes works. I'm interested in what you say about sciatica, because I've been having increasing twinges of that again recently, whereas I had been free of it for about 4 years until I started LCHF. Do you think there's a connection?

I jumped into it. Full throttle. Did you? I should have made changes slowly. The change in my body shape and posture I think exacerbated it.
I've added weight and no problem now. I can do without the added weight as very very heavy.
I'm reducing my protein intake. I've tried everything else.

Yes, I have. I lost a stone initially but it's creeping back a little now and I suspect I'm eating too much protein, as I have a relatively sedentary lifestyle. I'm scared to stop now LCHF now though, as my BG levels have been in the normal range since I began, but my pain levels are slowly going through the roof! GP's not much help as he disagrees with LCHF anyway.....

5.3 this morning,
The forecast for today earlier in the week was pants.... it's a lovely looking morning so far, so need to get up and get on...
Sheets to wash, bread to bake, walks to walk and then black coffee at 11's.
Hope your day is good.

Feeling seriouslyly p*ssed off with the App now. Sooooo many posts I wanted to reply to this morning and not one would load for me to reply. It's sometimes ok to do quick reply and tag op but even if they remember what their post was who else will

I feel less jerky when I have some carb but no weight loss unless on 20g of carbs only. Rock and a hard place. I'm going to reduce protein but I have been eating less protein but more breadcrumbs. I find almond flour (rough) expensive for fish cakes, fish fingers and chicken kiev. Tinned protein cheaper than fresh but full of salt. I'm snookered whatever I do. Unless cook with expensive ingredients.
I buy what we can afford.
I too was lighter on carbs. Higher bgs thou. Risk of damage.
I'll ride my weight with less protein and 50-100g of carbs for now.
I'm not sure what causes scatica. All I know is it's active people who get the trapped nerve. Inactive people get different problems.
I was swimming 3 times a week and had just started mini jogging with the then 8yr old.
I now swim once a week and need to up my walking. Walk 3 times a week but for only an hour at a time.
Once again I have to make small changes at a time. Humf!
I know what needs to be done but takes an age to complete. Then I'm finding doesn't work but I live in hope this time. :)

@Sable_Jan in the past have opened on app then clicked top right for option view through website. It worked fine but I realised I didn't need app hogging my machine memory so just use internet web history to get in quickly as I'd ticked to agree to be left on website when I'm on my tablet or phone. Never on another machine. I log in and then delete history when finished/logged off.

Morning all, hope everyone is well. We're going out for Sunday lunch to celebrate my brother's birthday so I'm having a nice relaxing morning drinking tea and browsing DCUK before we leave. Aah, this is the life!

Hugs for you. Find it hard to lose the weight as I do have some carbs, just can't ultra low. But also heavy with the cheese which keeps me full. At least my bones are getting plenty of calcium.
You're doing what you can, you're doing your best and I quite agree low carb alternatives like almond flour, coconut flour, sweetener (esp Total Sweet, my preferred option) are sooooo expensive. Luckily I can afford it but have often wondered how those with a family manage (do you do two lots of food; which makes it a real chore: do you use expensive alternatives for all; mega cost: do you make fairly "normal" food; and avoid bits that spike you? )
We're behind you all the way and miles behind if you're jogging

@13lizanne love your version of busy park
@eddie1968 thought you were having a relaxing weekend after a heavy week at work
Just a spot of painting, nothing too exhausting. Just annoyed it's been needing done since last week. I recharged my batteries yesterday. :)
