Type 2 Life

@magsiesss - Perhaps you could get him to join this forum and let him read some of the threads about people lowering their HBA1C and losing weight on the LCHF Diet. My HBA1C was 82 a year ago and at my last review a few weeks ago it is now 56 and I have lost 1 stone 4lbs - I incorporate into my diet some aspects of LCHF, as I am no longer totally a Vegetarian I had slowly introduced other foods into my diet such as: Eggs, Cheeseburgers just to name one or two.

Not at all, no apologies necessary.
You're doing well and if your partner is eating and exercising pretty much like you it's bound to be helping.....

I do sympathize with people who have any sort of pain , especially those with arthritic pain. Rons been having problems with it all day. Has now gone to bed not that its going to be comfortable for him up there either.

@maureen5752 - Yes, got leather 'ankle length' boots! But, after 2 Gin & Tonics OR 2 glasses of Red Wine = well need I say anymore!!!! But, many thanks for the offer.

@Sable_Jan , Ive suffered with arthritis for many years, it's awful, specially my back, neck, ankle & my hip is a nghtmare, sleeping on my back is agony but can't sleep on side cos of hip pain, spent most of my life with one pain or another so perhaps I just got used to it & put up with it, but I certainly sympathise, I know what it feels like, I wish you well (hug) @liam1955 Liam sorry to hear your mother suffered so much, very hard to see s parent suffer, my mom had breast cancer & leaukimia, she suffered terribly God bless them all

@tina_marie - How is Ron doing with the tablets for the pain? At least now he has a diagnoses and did I read he has been referred to Neurology?

Hi Maureen! Maybe you read an old post of mine? I feel fine...
In fact, I'm more than up for putting the boots on and going for a booze up! We'd be a pair of real cheap dates, as I haven't had a drink at all this year either, lol

Yes you did read right waiting for an appointment for neurology clinic. Hes been given co dydramol but hes now got constipation just like he had with the higher dose of co codamol. Hes putting on a brave face but I know hes in agony . Every step he takes you can hear it clicking in both hips and knees.

Why don't we ALL put our boots on and go for a drink?!!!! That would be an event not to miss..........

That sounds just what I need to ward off early "I don't want to go back to work on Monday"-itis!

Mmmmmm, Johnny Depp............. drooooooool........... (Well, as Cap'n Jack, anyway)
It's the black kohl pencil that does it for me - I'm the same with Tim Rice in the Rocky Horror Show...... Just can't resist a man wearing eye makeup! LOL

Thank You @Sable_Jan I will have a read about Fibromyalgia.
I forgot to add that sleeping was a HUGE problem before I went onto amitriptyline at bedtime. I would wake every hour most nights and the lack of sleep made the fibrofog twice as bad (really slow sluggish thinking and memory problems as well as the added fatigue) and as I was once IQ tested at 158 makes me feel really dumb and frustrated at times. You mentioned pregabalin (Gabapentin brand name of mine Lyrica) hope it's been as good for you as mine. It's lifted a blanket of pain I was only aware of as fatigue. I still have the dense pain in hips and other areas dotted about but still have to see doc about adjusting dosage and results of my 24 hr BP monitor (boy that was a painful day)

@tina_marie - That is a well known problem with pain relief tablets, I eat 2 - 3 dried Apricots just before bed OR 3 -4 dates. But if he mentions it to his GP he may well be prescribed sachets of stuff to dissolve in glass of water and drink which are sugar free for diabetics.

Mine are the heavy ankle boots. Pale blue (dirty pale blue) with white padded collar. Not Timberland, possibly No Fear (tho just as likely not) but you get the idea. Nothing like the tight fitting smooth leather slight platform knee boots I once had (nor the figure that went with them....

Woohoo, the 8.4 post tea has gone down to 6.4 30 mins on and a short walk with dog. The real milk latte AND the beans on toast really WERE too much to have at same time
