Well done, Johnny - I knew you were a winner! And I'm really glad that your good friend Lee is supporting you in your contest with diabetes - that's good news.It's now 10:45 Ante Meridian on Sunday 5th June in the present year of 2016, 16 years into the Millennium and the 21st Century.
I administered all my anti-hypertensive, anti-ADHD and anti-urinary retention oral prescribed medication at 6:00 Ante Meridian. I have also been food-free (I don't have hypo's, it says on my Diabetes Community Clinic report that I have "nil hypo's) since 3:52 Ante Meridian. My blood glucose reading was much more acceptable and pleasing to myself of 6.2 Millimoles Per Litre. I have been smoking a few "Holborn Yellow" tobacco hand-rolled cigarettes, approximately 12-13, and have ingested approximately 5-6 glasses of tap water. I am keeping myself occupied by watching "Revelation TV", my favourite Christian satellite television channel and chatting to my best friend Lee Collingwood and smoking roll-ups with him. He is feeling really unwell and nauseous and had to go to his doctor's surgery about this symptom which may be due to the 550 mg of Clopixol phenothiazine anti-psychotic medication for his Paranoid Schizophrenia with Suicidal Ideation. He has been very supportive of my Asperger Syndrome and ADHD and osteoarthritis and says he sees me as his best friend. He feels a bit guilty about causing my hyperglycaemia yesterday and denies that I prompted him to buy it. He's going to provide me with fruit and vegetables rather than foodstuffs loaded with glucose and complex carbohydrates.

28 the car said and varied no more than 25-28 over half hour journey, well nearer 40 cos traffic so badJust had a cider flavoured ice lolly

That seems unfair, Johnny, when you're trying so hard, and I'd be surprised if the things you ate were high in carbs or sugar. What does it say on the labels?On this lovely sunny June day my best friend Lee Collingwood brought to my one bedroomed council flat a can of sardines in tomato sauce and a bag of Bombay Mix to eat. Bombay Mix is one of my favourite snacks of all time; deep-fried chick peas, peanuts, lentils, sev all lovely and spicy with cumin and coriander. After I ate it at 12:52 post meridian and had a plate with 3 sardines in tomato sauce at 1:10 post meridian and I took my blood glucose reading it read 9.9 millimoles per litre. I can only speculate it's the flour used in the deep-fried sev in the Bombay Mix which is a very addictive and more-ish substance. The sardines are okay, rich in antioxidants and Omega-3 but I'm not sure if there's sugar in the tomato sauce that accompanies it. A pitiful attempt at the low carb programme but I'm not going to give up trying.
Just a suggestion but have you tried out lowcarbcentral web site . They have loads of recipes to try even snacks. Tonight I'm doing slow cooked lamb with cheesey dumplings.I've just checked the nutrition label on the two food items I ate. In the sardines there are 1.6 g of carbohydrate which has some sugar composites in them. In the Bombay Mix it doesn't include an adequate nutrition label but it does contain a breakdown of ingredients that might suggest there's a lot of carbs in them. There's 64% of flour noodles, There's also gram flour, maize flour and potato starch.
I'm not going to eat them again, for the want of better management and control of my type 2 diabetes mellitus.

Have you tried pork scratchings as a snack, Johnny? Most supermarkets, pubs and off-licences sell them; they're very low in carbs (less than 1g per bag) and won't spike your BG levels.I've just checked the nutrition label on the two food items I ate. Keep on winning.My best friend forever Lee Collingwood is coming shortly after he withdraws £20.00 from the National Westminster Bank in the same suburb and borough of the city where I live. The £20.00 is from his Mum who acts as an appointee-like contact in his life. He's going to buy a belt for his jean at a local market and then come to my flat for a nice hot cup of freshly infused instant coffee with semi-skimmed milk and 2 sugars because he is non-diabetic. I call him "Suki" as a term of endearing affection because people on the spectrum are like that.

On my return journey the car said 33 before I set off and dropped to 28 by the time I got back. Thought it was cool indoors when I first got back in but I'm sweating buckets now (did go for a walk with Rocks but only a slow one and at least half an hour ago....mayb its the bit of pear cider I had when I got back inFlippin' 'eck!
I don't like to complain, and after all this is what we've been waiting for, but it's ******* hot outside today! 26 degrees my garden thermometer says....

I do wish the manufacteruers of dried peas etc would put on the nutritional values for the DRY product. If you order your groceries from Tesco, the nutrition labels are online so you can sit outside in the lovely sunshine sipping your lemon flavoured water and leisurely put together your grocery order. It's what I'm doing now, only I have a LOAD of sweets and treats in it because my older daughter's visit to the UK ends in two weeks and she's bringing a suitcaseful of British treats back for family and friends in Canada. I can only imagine how this is going to skew my "Tesco Recommendations" next week. HAHA! She's eating LCHF like myself, so none of it is for her.I know how you feel. shopping takes twice as long now. My Dad used to get them in the Dolphin Public House in Beer, Devon, a small fishing village with a caravan park and many B&B's and hotels where we used to go on holiday 3 times a year until a few years ago when my Dad started to suffer seriously from cardiovascular abnormalities and type 2 diabetes mellitus. I absolutely adore Porkies - especially the brand that you very kindly uploaded in the image above - Sainsbury's sell a multi-pack of them and in my area there's going to be a two-storey Sainsbury's development built by October 31st this year as well as very expensive apartments. I live near the River Thames and the South Bank/City of London in Vauxhall. This is a lovely reply to my rather perplexing but well-composed post. I know Beer very well! We used to go there on holiday, too, when my children were small - about 25 years ago - and I'm sure we've been in the Dolphin pub. Set the alarmI've been drinking gallons of iced water and lurking in the shade all afternoon.
I used to love the sun in my 'yoof' and would be outside from dawn until dusk, but I simply can't take it any more. It grieves me, because I'd love to be sitting in it, getting a nice tan, but I just can't handle the heat.
Nowadays I sit in the sun in the mornings, before noon. Unfortunately, though, the sun didn't come out here until about 11.30 today. I'll try again tomorrow, because the forecast is sunny from 6am.
