Type 2 Life

With my hips the relief was immediate. Didn't last long cos it drained right out again....within 2 days
I've had oral steroids for my ahsma & doctor said should start to work within 24 hrs but that was oral, injections are more effective they go straight into blood stream. Hope you feel better very soon take care of yourself (hugs)

Thanks Maureen

Thanks Folks . Because of never having Steroids before, - I thought by having them injected it would be more or less an immediate effect (within 24 hours), my joints and Knee are all the same as before the injections. Only thing I have is 2 tender lumps on my right buttock where the injections went. The Rheumatologist did give me her Secretary's phone number and I do remember something about after a week!!

Ah, so you weren't injected into the joints?

@Sable_Jan - No. Rheumy sent me for multiple X-Rays and bloods to be done first, then the Nurse said the injections were Intramuscular. I am at the Hospital next Thursday f o r something else, so I could leave a message with the Rheumy's Secretary.

Evening, FBG 6.8 mmol/l. Very dull and breezy here. Second half of June has been drab weather wise. Hope July/August is a heatwave with wall to wall sunshine lol. Going to make dinner and watch Hungary vs Belgium at 8pm.

I am so pleased You All like the Avatar , just want to hear what @debrasue has to say? I promise @13lizanne to be 'good' after this one!

Rons got one more week at work and then hes home with me for two whole weeks . Well in-between hospital appointments.

Well knackered. Did enjoy the football, ended Hungary 0 Belgium 4. This is my last week and go on leave for a fortnight and looks like I might need to book something if this weather keeps up. I received my appointments from the Respiratory Medicine Lab at the hospital - 10th then 11 August to see if the CPAP machine needs adjusted and if the mask might need to be changed. I can't wait, I want to feel fresher in my head and less tired and this has been happening for years and I and my GP used to blame it on diabetes and hyperglycaemia alone. I am glad I went into hospital in February for the overnight sleep study.

Night night good people. Time for sleep, it may be an early morning. Depends if granddaughter s wake me when mum gets them up

Feeling rather proud of myself. I jogged 2km this evening, easy peasy. Very beneficial effect on the BS too, 5.6 before night time snack.
