Type 2 Life

Full day in a class room with 4 international lawyers and 2 profs and little old me, given the tour, induction, health and safety, loads of paper work and I haven't seen a client yet....just need to build up my workout BG stamina...like when I first started work at 18.... although that's a long time ago

So tomorrow morning I might be interviewed for ITV lunchtime news to talk about the challenges of managing your diabetes. I responded to a tweet from Diabetes UK, apparently more depressing stats came out today and they want some positive stories. So watch this space - I'll obviously be advocating self management and low carbing

Good for you
Hope you get on
Hollywood next eh

Ha ha ) I'll need hair and makeup here first thing ... will be good to share my experience. They now think there are close to a million undiagnosed type 2's in the UK ...

Dear me,... *mutters dark and dreadful thoughts about the "You don't get hypos on Metformin which is why you don't need to test" stuff I keep getting told*

Well, that was definitely a hypo. Good thing I do test, and do keep a small amount of hypo fixes around. Doesn't happen often, but it does happen. All well now and finally taking myself off to bed.

Mention that diabetes care under nhs is behind in the times and care should be positivity first then diet then meds then exercise regimes. Please.
Positivity first -treating depression and negativity, no matter the stage of the diabetes. Once that is tackled the rest will need guidance. Low carbing for stable bgs!!! Make us proud @PenfoldAPD . ♡♥♡

@Japes I hope youre feeling much better now. Take care.
Any more hypos ask to reduce metformin. You might not need so much now.

Will let you know if they decide to film, I'll find out this morning ....

I'll keep an eye on things. Possibly more to do with the fact that, unusually for me, I had a main meal at lunch time, and only a light meal in the early evening. I was also feeling a bit nauseous, and had tested at 7.5 at that point. I waited an hour to see if the feeling would wear off - then retested at 3.8. but felt much more settled, nauseous feeling-wise, after a packet of pom-bear crisps. (Which seemed to work as a slice of dry toast or plain biscuit substitute when the thought of my usual bed time snacks were not helping!). I'm at my usual 7s for FBGs this morning.

I'll have to catch it on-line as itv sometimes does regional news clips. I've recorded on tv just in case. Have catch up and itv player if you let me know if used today.
Let them know north-east's mindset behind in the positivity rule. Dn has thanked me for my attitude and she wishes everyone had it. They think they're doomed for amputations and blindness.
Dn in rye, east sussex was very depressing in his demeaner at check ups too.Gp not so much.
No consistency! Goodluck. ♡♥♡

Morning. Day off, I have an appointment with a surgeon today. Weather is awful here, peeshing down and cool - no heatwave here.

Your not wrong there . I've added up all Rons seizures 16 in his sleep and 4 while awake and that's in 5 weeks . Yes he did have one last night.

I got dropped from the TV interview ... maybe the news that Bake Off is going to Channel 4 was more important ....
