Thank god for that. About time someone made a decision on Ron's medication and future treatment.
Well done @tina_marie and @eldergarth . ♡♥♡
Thanks Vicky this doctor is really good , its no 10 mins appointment with this Dr he will take as long as needed with you. Hes concerned about the arthritis and Rons job . He wants Ron to ask the neurologist if he thinks Ron should be working and report back to him and then the GP will decide whether to sign Ron off work due to ill health.

It makes all the difference when you get the right GP. Might be worth booking that gp only in the future.

If Ron gets an appointment this is the only Dr he will see. This is the Dr that ordered the x ray back in may . Same Dr that got him to see neurologist. Last weeks call back by gp was by our own gp who is useless.

Thanks @ickihun no supplements just low carb and weight loss has done it so it shows things can be changed for the better hope things improve for you too soon.

@tina_marie Glad Ron is getting some answers and has found a good doctor to see best wishes hope to see him down woodend some time soon maybe

Liam - Do you eat foods containing gluten in your day to day diet? Psoriatic style Arthritis can be a symptom of gluten intolerance. I don't mean Coeliac, which is different. Apparently, anyone showing psoriatic arthritis (PA) type of symptoms should be tested for gluten intolerance.

A friend of mine received treatment for the PA for several years, including some very strong drugs. One day his wife commented whenever he had a sandwich at lunchtime, his complexion would become very florid indeed, so being a vain sort, he changed his lunchtime food (to prove her wrong), to find she was correct. His joints also became much less painful, so back to the Rheumatologist he went.

Our bodies are such a complicated puzzle; especially when things go wrong.

Well I've been in bed half an hour now and not so much as a twitch from Ron. Now after all these weeks when I've wanted sleep I'm wide awake , typical just typical.

That's really good news, Tina. I hope things are turning the corner for you both now. Big hugs xx

Hello @tina_marie and @eldergarth - Ron, Have just caught up with all the posts from last night, and that is excellent news (and about bloody time too!) - So now the 'ball is rolling' and it's onwards from now on and now you can enjoy a better quality of life - to Both of you. William

Not looking forward to the lumba puncture but if needs must

Hi Ron - I'm glad things are on the move for you now.
Actually, I've had a lumbar puncture and it's not so bad. I think they make it sound worse than it is to cover their backs!
Big hugs xx

@AndBreathe - Thank You for that information. I believe the Rheumatologist I saw was making her job easier in diagnosing me with Psoriatic Arthritis, because I get Psoriasis patches on the skin over the joints (suffered with it now 42 yrs). I am on my 3rd Biological Injectable Drug and although these drugs keep my skin clear, there are supposed to keep me pain free - but they don't. So, now Psoriatic Arthritis and Rheumatoid Arthritis have been ruled out. When I mentioned my late Mother had Osteoarthritis of the Spine and Hips, that is what the Rheumatologist is saying I now have? I do have Arthritis in my Lumbar Facet Joints (lower spine) it showed up on 2 MRI Scans I had because of 2 Herniated Discs. Bone Scans are being arranged for me to have, and already had numerous x-rays -it just would be nice to know which form of Arthritis I do actually have? And then I can receive the proper treatment.

Had great evening last night, been having lots of fuse blowing recently, last night it all went, freezer, kettle, recently bought tv doesn't work!!!! Had to throw out all my food!!! Great. Hello @maureen5752 - It seems that some of us are ready for the 'Kn**kers Yard"!! (No Offence intended to anyone). The 7's are not bad assuming as you say 'you are stressed' - mine would be much higher had my electric gone off and food got wasted.(I have a Chest Freezer and Upright Freezer).
It's throwing it down today here in York, and much cooler than of late. So venturing out this afternoon to the Garden Centre where we will have a 'treat' of Coffee and Cake' - I have not been eating much with not doing much, so my body can just burn any fat I have!!! Oh yes, how refreshing to get back to showering. Have a lovely day Maureen and Weekend too. Wx

7's are my morning bgs god knows what it was last night, it's not just the waste of food, freezer packed up & tv & kettle, fused, cost of replacing, I always have few meals ready in freezer incase I'm not well or at hospital so lost that space in freezer now, Ive got a fridge freezer & I did have a half freezer, not anymore still worse things in life, glad to hear your feeling better, enjoy your cake this afternoon you deserve it, suns come out here but it's windy, forecast rain, well enjoy your day, pity we diabetics don't live closer could all have a good meet up? & yes I certainly agree think I'm ready for the kna..ers Yard!!!! Havent heard that saying for many years!!! Enjoy today

Hi everyone, hope you're all doing well. It's good to be back but it'll take me yonks to catch up on everyone's news.

My mother passed away suddenly on Wednesday and I also had a letter from my consultant telling me that I am being referred to a kidney specialist due to impaired kidney function, so all in all it's not a good week (well it hasn't been a good few months ).

Take care all. Karen xx

It's Karen - yaay! How absolutely wonderful to see you back on the forum Karen. I'm so sorry to hear of your Mum's sudden passing and your health issues but it's so good to have you back. Look forward to your posts and wicked sense of humour @doolallylady

@13lizanne
Thanks Anna, I feel like shouting 'I'm home'.
Just had the Coroner's office on the phone, because it was so sudden (even though she was 91) there has to be a post-mortem. This will be carried out on Monday and we have to wait for the results before we can start making arrangements.

Surprisingly bloods are not too bad, all things considering. They are staying under 10 and down to the 5's at times. Must admit that I haven't been checking as regularly as I should. It's annoying though because I have my yearly review next month and I presume I'm not going to pass my MOT with flying colours, if I do I'll be on the look-out for flying pigs.

Karen xx

Well Hello There @doolallylady - I am Sorry to hear about the passing of your Mum, we are here for you Karen even if you just want to have a rant and get things off your chest. I think that you get a pass Karen, considering the circumstances. I'm going to tag @ickihun who I think might be about @Liam1955 is not on forum just now and others will soon see that you are "home" I hope that the arrangements with the Coroner go smoothly x @doolallylady
