Thanks Vicky this doctor is really good , its no 10 mins appointment with this Dr he will take as long as needed with you. Hes concerned about the arthritis and Rons job . He wants Ron to ask the neurologist if he thinks Ron should be working and report back to him and then the GP will decide whether to sign Ron off work due to ill health.Thank god for that. About time someone made a decision on Ron's medication and future treatment.
Well done @tina_marie and @eldergarth . ♡♥♡
It makes all the difference when you get the right GP. Might be worth booking that gp only in the future. Thanks Vicky this doctor is really good , its no 10 mins appointment with this Dr he will take as long as needed with you. If Ron gets an appointment this is the only Dr he will see. This is the Dr that ordered the x ray back in may . Same Dr that got him to see neurologist. Last weeks call back by gp was by our own gp who is useless. It makes all the difference when you get the right GP. Might be worth booking that gp only in the future.
Hello @tina_marie and @eldergarth - I like the sound of 10 hours, how much do you pay for the Cura-Heat Pads and where do you buy them ?
Tina, You need to get over to the GP that seeing Ron have these 'fits' scares you to death. And you worry constantly that he could hurt himself - such as if he was cooking or holding a kettle of boiling water and he had one he could severely scald/burn himself.
Well, I got a surprise yesterday at the GP's. I have known for the last 4 -5 years that I have Arthritis, and I was told earlier this year it was Psoriatic Arthritis. Then Yesterday my GP tells me he had a report sent to him from the Rheumatologist whom I last saw 2 weeks ago and she 'thinks' I could well have Osteoarthritis? This runs in families and my late Mother suffered with this, so there is the connection. So, the Rheumatologist has ruled out I don't have Psoriatic Arthritis or Rheumatoid Arthritis because the Steriod Injections and 4 week course of Steriod Tablets never eased the pain. However, the Rheumatologist is making arrangements for me to undergo Bone Scans and I will be hearing soon with an appointment. My Arthritis began in my lower spine first, then spread to my hips, then Kneess and shoulders - it's now in my fingers and they are more painful than my back these days.
I take Pregabalin which is used for Neuropathic Pain and I also take Tramadol which I find eases Bone Pain.
I know you will speak up to the Doctor and tell him or her that Ron should not have to suffer and wait all this time for results. Fingers crossed that Ron and You get good news today from the GP. We all wait for outcome after your visit to the GP today. William x
That's really good news, Tina. I hope things are turning the corner for you both now. Big hugs xxThe GP is very concerned with what is happening as the neurologist report doesn't give them much info. The GP has put Ron on clonazepam to be taken at bedtime , which the neurologist said in his letter that Ron could have ,even though the other gp said that Ron would have to go back to see the neurologist for . The GP has also signed him off work for two weeks and wants to see Ron again on the 3rd October . Another piece of news is that Ron has an appointment to see the neurologist on the 30th September. So all in all things seem to be coming together for him at last.

It's throwing it down today here in York, and much cooler than of late. So venturing out this afternoon to the Garden Centre where we will have a 'treat' of Coffee and Cake' - I have not been eating much with not doing much, so my body can just burn any fat I have!!!
