Type 2 Life

Good Morning, my lovely friends on the www.diabetes.co.uk type 2 life forum,

It's Saturday 17th September, 2016, and the library opened at 9:00 Ante Meridian where I'm now using their Internet facilities, on PC-1 near the library's entrance.

I ate my dinner last night of a Sainsbury's Basics Spaghetti Bolagnese ready meal and enjoyed it enormously.

My blood glucose reading this morning after administering my oral medications and Lixisenatide Glucagon-Like Peptide Type 2 Injection was 5.3 Millimoles Per Litre. I have had a total of 3 mugs of coffee made with Sainsbury's Rich-Roast Coffee Granules, 3 0 Calorie Silver Spoon artificial sweetener tablets in each and a dash of Organic Whole Milk in each. I have also consumed 1 large measuring cup (plastic) of tap water.

It's a cooler day in Stockwell/Vauxhall with a very white, sunless sky and quite, although not a "nip" in the air, it feels a tad chilly.

Have a lovely day, my friends. I won't be logging on to the www.diabetes.co.uk Type 2 Life Forum tomorrow because the library isn't open on that day.

Love @autisticwonder1970 (Johnny Baker, Sufferer of Asperger Syndrome and Bipolar Affective Disorder.)

Just caught up on Ron's news, William's op, Andrew's near moment of fame. Still feel connected to you without actually joining in. Struggling a bit to hit the right letters on the screen with me one eye. Some of the spellchecked versions are quite finny. Heard you have had some hot weather this past week which means my abandoned veg will be rampant by now. Two more days of this glorious holiday. Off to the beach now. My Mankini won't wear itself. Xx

Thanks @eldergarth very kind of you, if you were closer id come & collect my hug. You've been haveing a tough time I hope it all gets sorted & you feel much better soon, I suffer with arthritis all over, it's terrible & now nerve damage as they never bothered to check me when I was complaining, toes burn like hell being dissabled is so restricting but just got to get on with it, be sure to get the treatment you need, wishing you luck & good health. Lots of hugs X

Well, you're entitled to it, and you're saving the government money in healthcare, so it might be worth looking into. Could mean a bit of extra money coming in, which is never a bad thing!
Will be looking into PIPS while signed of sick Debs least then if get permanently signed of then have got ball rolling and Tina can get care allowance

@eldergarth you go for it! Give them hell. You might be lucky and get it straight away. Someone has to qualify!
I hope it works out smoothly. You deserve it after all your hassle with lack of treatment. ♡♥♡ Goodluck!

@nomoredonuts - Good to hear from You and Hope you are having a great time? We want to see Photo's of you wearing the Mankini!

Morning all, hope it's a good day for everyone, cwtches for anyone who needs them (plentiful supply and they're free). Karen xx

Sitting in garden in silience. It's heaven. Clothes dried as they were hung out early. A few wasps hanging around, dying off I guess.
Toddlers naps will be a thing of the past soon. Earlier night times will be a god send. He was up at 3am like a new baby. A very active little boy. I will look into a football coach to divert his energy. He's an all round sporty chap. He loves pot holeing the best. Ha ha When can he start rock climbing? He's only 3 but ready. I have to teach him to swim yet!!! He definitely keeps me on my toes. His dad just tags along as the main part of hands. Poor mr ickihun. Ha ha

Welcome back Karen, I'm so sorry to hear about your mum. Sending you massive bear hugs xx

Are you still in the garden Vicki? We've got no 3 son today so I'm on Mum duty and just off to prepare dinner. It's a really warm day up here today.

@Contralto The National Health Service in UK doesn't work the same way as medicine is practiced in USA. We don't have allergists or dermatologists in offices. Every specialist has to be contacted through the patient's General Practitioner who will make a referral if they decide it is warranted.
@Liam1955 will be able tell you how he was referred to the Rheumatologist

Sunny. Cancelled mum's house lunch as pelvic problem has flared up again. Nothing but hassle when I go on a Sunday so going on a thursday, instead, with both boys.
Cold in head @Diamum5972 . You too?
Winter lergies are starting. Boo hoo.

Car is playing up so awaiting breakdown (homestart).

Yep, got blocked up ears, drippy nose, sinus headaches and occasional sneezing fits. I've been drinking ginger tea and taking paracetomol all day but suffice it to say I'll be phoning in sick tomorrow! Make sure you take it easy too xx
