Hes in bed now , so your all stuck with me ha ha . Today has been the worst ever . If hes like it tomorrow I'm getting the doctor out to him.Sorry to hear that Ron. I was only saying to Richard that the change in the weather has triggered off aches in my bones and joints, even my recent injury to my knee is aching today.
I like it! That avatar is more "you" William
You should see me in the morning .... Totally shocking. LolThis is my reflection from looking in the mirror!
Been eating bacon, ham, cream, mayonnaise , dark chocolate, occasionaly low sugar biscuit. Couple g&t. Recently,( cos been under lot stress) My cholestrol. Must have gone up with all that fat, doctor wanted to take me of gliclazide but said my sugars would go high for several months but not to worry!!!! Dn said stay on gliclazide cos not good for sugars to go high & I'd lose strips, I take one gliclazide morning one evening but was told I can try half in evening if I want, if sugars go up take one at night, I'm sure doctor will say stop taking when I see him, myself I think its about money, couple months ago went down to 57kilos now 58kilos. You ok? Hope your healing well & feeling goodHello @maureen5752 - Yes, you were 'normal' at that point in time. Are you still taking the Glicazide? As there was talk of you stopping it at one point. So, what have you been eating? We all lapse at some point - well I do!
@ Liam195 Forgot to say I changed my diet & introduced more fat as experiment to see what happens but think, well I am going back to old ways, threw a lot of stuff out, to much fat not good for cholesterol. Causes others problems
. Few years ago I wS givenBut Maureen your Cholesterol was good at 3.3. Mine was 3.4 in June - but, I take Atorvastatin (40mg) every evening before bed. I do watch my intake of Fat, especially Saturated as I was told by my GP last year not to consume more than 20g per day of Saturated Fat and no more than 10g of Sugar per day.

Well done on your results that's great news sorry for delay but my other problems do keep me away from forum now and again .Hey have been to my diabetic nurse today and got my først HbAc1 (44 ) after diagnosis and change of diet It was a bit higher than I thought it would be so well it is okay But then I can see it will become more difficult to get it down to 35 as I'd like it to be.
On the other hand my cholesterol has com down to totally 4,3 and my LDL was normal so very happy. Then my doctor will NOT keep presuring me to take statins....
I have only ever taken the SR version, it still has the same side effects. But like most I didnt read the info leaflet, but it does say if you are on less than 1000cals a day DONT take them. I often have a fasting type day just to keep weight in check and since I have skipped the tablet on those days have been fineMorning all. Anyone know snythink about metformin SR. I take ordinary but seeing doctor in few days thinking about asking about slow release version, don t think I will get it , but love some Info if anyone knows, been on internet but would love first hand info if anyone is on SR version. Bgs high again this morning. Good day to you all
Thanks Ive asked for the SR before but been refused, think it's cos of cost, pharmacist suggested SR as I get higher bgs in mornings, I have to eat about every 4 hrs if not go hypo, ordinary metforfim gives me bad stomache problems, I weight 58 kilos at moment, usualy stay approx 1 kilo above or below that so I don't count calories, & I'm not exactly active cos of leg dissability, thought maybe SR might be better, will ask & see what they say. Thanks ever so. Have good dayI have only ever taken the SR version, it still has the same side effects.
