That sounds wise.I think 54 works out equivalent to 8.4 if I've got the maths right...
The trigger point for a diagnosis of diabetes is 42.
My first one was about 112, but my last one was 34 which I think is equivalent to an FBG reading of 5.3.
This was last September and since then I have reduced my rolling 16 day average from 5.63 to 5.42 so I am fairly confident my next one should be Ok too, although I had seen it as low as 5.04 while on holiday last year.
One other thing I learned while reading up on the vitamins was that Metformin is known to inhibit the metabolism of vitamin B12, hence my desire to reduce my dosage. If I was really brave I would try cutting it out altogether but I am not willing to risk further nerve damage until my feet have improved a bit further........
Oh @4ratbags .Morning FBG 7.3 again. Bit of a bad week. The rabbit died on Friday and we found one of our cats dead on the road this morning
Gp says it's one but hasn't even examined me so I feel he's making an educated guess.Thank you @ickihun They say bad luck comes in threes, Im hoping not, we only have two cats left now. Hopefully your appointment goes well on Wednesday as it seems you get over one hurdle then you have another one. How is your leg btw, have you found out if it is a trapped nerve or not.
Oh no so sorry to hear about your pets. Hope you and family are OK, take care God blessMorning FBG 7.3 again. Bit of a bad week. The rabbit died on Friday and we found one of our cats dead on the road this morning
Thanks @Merrylizard1314 . I'll see what's on offer. My sister though as much. The fat should get burned on lchf but I'm not sure at what stage. Also i'm assuming xenical will work from the stomach contents. I'll throw my query in that forum. ;-)BGL 4.1mmol/L ketones 1.5
@ ickihun, are you eating lchf? Because, if you are, Xenical will have unpleasant side effects, I believe. Most people have to follow a low fat regime on that drug.
Important to get the leg pain investigated and fixed. And do not give up
Hi ickihun,i think i've mentioned this before,dr Richard Bernsteins in his book Diabetes Solutions 4 th edition ,shows how to correct and when to adjust your insulin ,you can get his book on amazon, hope you get the treatment you need, cliveCONFESSION TIME
I took no Insulin yesterday.
My bgs were:-
Fbg 4.4 before breakfast 5.5
after b/fast 6.9
Lunch b 6.2 a 7.4
Dinner before 5.9 and after 7.1
This mornings fbg 6.4
I will show this to specialist but I think they are riding on insulin I injected 2 days ago. Canagliflozin taking the weight? Lchf diet too.
These are good numbers to me.
Only time they are knocked about is when I have a carb. It sends them wild and uncontrollable for a few days.
At first I thought it was because of not taking dinner's insulin but no definitely carbs.
They are slowly becoming my no.1 enemy.
I keep getting them offered by family so I just need to be strict with them and not buy any.
Although to keep this up I need a new treat not a carb.
Any suggestions?
