Type 2 no meds and now high cholesterol

When you say high cholesterol what exactly does that mean? Total cholesterol is actually pretty meaningless & it is the triglycerides to watch out for...
As for diet, there is so much to eat on a low carb diet - all types of meat and fish with salad and veg accompanied by dressings, herbs, spices, chilli, garlic etc that it should never be boring or bland!

Got my next HbA1c coming up in a few days. I'm not very hopeful that my trigs will have improved, which will knacker my chances of dropping the Atorvastatin...

Don't forget to fast and ask for a full lipid panel. Without being fasted my surgery won't do it and if you have eaten beforehand the results are meaningless anyway.
And I'm sure I don't have to say this but you are in charge of what goes into your body.

Wise words!

This man actually manipulates cholesterol test results by altering his diet within days. Well worth a look at what he says. Cholesterol is not such a villain as has been made out.
