Are you flying in? Because you're over here in no time at all, and most airports have a supermarket where you can stock right back up. Same goes for most main railway stations, and the ferry's one big mall. Nuts, cold sausages, cheeses etc should be available to you just fine. The last time I flew from here to Venice we did get some very sticky, horrible sandwiches for lunch, (think the flight lasted 2 hours) and I wasn't diabetic yet. I'm sure I could've gotten a few extra packets of post-sandwich nuts off the stewardesses if I asked nicely and was for some reason adverse to fasting...
