Currently taking 60 units of humulin at night and 32 in the morning along with day time meds which is metformin and glycazide
had a healthy meal of boiled fish with quinoa and mushrooms etc and went to bed about 10, could not sleep and ended up feeling low which is unusual as most times am asleep within 10 mins
Ended up taking 3 sugar cubes over 5 mins and then cleaning teeth before going back to bed.
Still felt low and came downstairs for the test meter, gave me a reading of 4.2, so not sure how low it was earlier.
Took a glucose tablet, an apple and got a reading of 5.1 which is still too low, so out with the peanut butter and orange marmalade and got it up to 8.3.
The annual checkup was more or less weight check, nothing on the feet as I thought they were ok, but had missed athletes foot (now being treated by myself)
So weight has dropped from 16 stone 10 pounds to 16 stone in the last 4-6 weeks, another nurse told me the high weight was my "winter" weight
Will probably take 30 units tomorrow night instead of the usual 60 and see how it goes
Interview tomorrow, hence not straight to sleep
not sure if relevant, but occasionally take some lugols iodine with morning vitamins as read that it can help diabetes
Any guides out there to how much insulin I should be raking at night
