What type of things to typically eat in a day? there might be room for improvement on your bg levels by adjusting your diet.

i cant believe this ive never been fat in my life i was 11 stone 2 years ago im 5ft 8 and now im 9 stone, i cant put on weight i eat Omelette's in the morning with brown toast, i cant eat at midday as my levels will go even higher, i will eat meat dish off a night with a few roast potatoes, for the past few months my body all over tingles, again ive been told this is Anxiety, my heart will race all day again Anxiety, so whats this all about the NHS trying to kill people off so there is less people in the world, im going mad because there is no help out there for no one

Hi. I'm not an expert on insulin but from postings I've seen over the last year there are an enormous range of ways you can mix 'n match different insulins and timings. I wonder whether your doc and others are exploring all the options for you. Have you posted in the Type 1 forum and asked what the possibilities are?

Hello,

I'm a type 2 for 5yrs now. I was initially on 3x Metformin daily. After changing to a Low Carb diet I now am off my medication and control it with diet n exercise. I guess I'll b on insulin 1day, however it's too late for u I guess but don't worry as there are a lot of people on here with info. Have u tried going on a DAFNE course which teaches u to match ur carb intake with ur insulin dosage? This may help to bring down ur BGL... Please try a low carb diet as u may be pleasantly surprised how u can improve ur BG! The NHS gives poor advice so unfortunately u have to come to terms with learning through trial and error what works best for you. Doing a bit of research online can only benefit urself and u will know a hell of a lot more about ur condition than ur GP! I wish u all the best! LL
