Type 2s: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning? (very low chat level)

4.6 :) A steam powered Curry works wonders, runny nose all dried up:happy:

6.4 this morning. Struggling to get this down to the mid 5's in the morning :arghh:. Carbs and portions are small. Exercising is weather dependant (archery and golf). I guess it's still a work in progress :banghead::banghead:. Have a good day all! ;)

Was 8.7 this morning after cataract op yesterday afternoon. Left eye done. Having real trouble reading this as op has given me fantastic long sight and every thing so bright. But at moment cannot read a book, glasses useless.
Thanks to those that have given me encouragement before the op.
Glad your op is over and done with. Take care

Lack of sleep has caught up with me, so nice long 13 hour overnight fast and I think my lowest ever wakeup level of 5.2. :p

But I've still been getting my late afternoon/early evening liver dump ?? rise.

Kim, just take it steady - until recently (over a couple of years) my low morning levels have usually been in the sixes. But, I've brought down my post meal levels to within non-diabetic levels with LCHF, so I've never fretted too much over fasting figures. I've found that my body seems to actually prefer being in the sixes and sevens and it can get rather peevish if I try to force it to be otherwise. So look what you are achieving rather than what you've not yet managed to.

Thank you Robbity :). It's strange how you can have consistent 6.5's say, and then a couple of days in the low to mid 5's for no reason. I've had a couple of mid 4's too. I think I manage my LCHF very well, so I find this baffling more than anything. I don't mind being in the 6's, I just wanted to know how I got into the 5's. I've learned a lot since I was diagnosed last August, and I think I'll be learning for the rest of my life lol.

Good morning all! My body hasn't yet adjusted to GMT so I woke before 3am and got up and tested.
5.6 at 0300 which isn't too bad as I was eating airline meals yesterday.
