I think you're right there - when I first started testing my FBG was often mid to high 5s and I was getting concerned because everyone else's seemed to be lower. I mentioned it to my DN and, after the inevitable "why are you testing?" question she said thatmy numbers were in the non-diabetic range so not to worry and that they would probably come down further - which they have!I think it certainly does.
The FBG thread is great, but sometimes I think it gets to be a competition and people feel they are failures just because their first test of the day is higher than some others.

7.3 at six thirty and still 7.3. Hmmm
