Type 2s: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning? (very low chat level)

Morning all:)
After a heping hand from my liver, fbg was 8.2
2 hours after breakfast back to normal of 5.1:D
So frustrating .......

7.4 ... more of the much of a muchness, 6 days in a row it's been 7-point-something. Will it ever go lower, I'm asking myself?

4.7 yesterday and 4.9 this morning - not too shabby considering I went to bed at 6.4 three hours after eating a Chinese!

I think it certainly does.

The FBG thread is great, but sometimes I think it gets to be a competition and people feel they are failures just because their first test of the day is higher than some others.
I think you're right there - when I first started testing my FBG was often mid to high 5s and I was getting concerned because everyone else's seemed to be lower. I mentioned it to my DN and, after the inevitable "why are you testing?" question she said thatmy numbers were in the non-diabetic range so not to worry and that they would probably come down further - which they have!

Mine are still in the 6s, but I'm hopeful that they will come down as I lose more weight, especially from the liver and pancreas. 6.7 today.

Glad it's Friday. I'm soooo tired this week for some unknown reason. Anyway, BG this morning was 4.5 fasting, after a 5.2 at bedtime. Woke up with a banging headache though, & it's lingered all day so far.
