Type 2s: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning? (very low chat level)

I think it's something to do with one's liver focusing on dealing with the alcohol first, so that the carbs get processed more slowly and therefore don't cause the BGs to spike. Definitely not a great long-term strategy, though, LOL!

Morning all. A completely surprising 9.1 this morning. Highest reading since diagnosis and well up from my usual 4s and 5s. Ate pretty wisely yesterday, drank my normal amount of beer but did stay up late resulting in just 4 hours sleep. No food for me today

it was 17.3 last night but that was after ham sandwiches, crisps and twiglets.

Carbfest this weekend as pre-birthday 'treats'. One day the family will understand about that!
