Type 2s: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning? (very low chat level)

Happy to report a 5.2 this morning in spite of so much food and wine. Even had a piece of brandy soaked Christmas cake and shortbread. Does anyone know why today is called Boxing Day?
I believe it's to do with the tradition of giving Christmas "boxes" (i.e. money) to tradespersons to thank them for good products and services throughout the year.

No traditional Boxing Day walk for me yesterday, it was too windy and sleety.
I went out to put stuff in the bin and had to lean all my (still considerable) weight against the door to get it shut again
so we stayed in with the log burner going

4.7 this morning

So if I drink more alcohol I'll decrease my insulin sensitivity?
I should think it depends on how much you drink they are talking of heavy drinking at that point moderate drinking can improve insulin sensitivity it would seem.

My FBG this morning 5.3 maybe I should have had a few alcoholic drinks along with all those carbs yesterday.

Wow @ally1 that's fantastic you seem to have trended down over the period, unlike most others
Anyway a 6.0 for me this morning. Pleased to see it come down
