7.4, fell off the wagon last night - conclusion - now that I am back to work this week the timing I planned for each shake doesn't work for me, rethink plan.

8.0 mmol / L this morning!
6.4 mmol / L at bed time.

Experiment with high GI slow release carbs. Ingested 4 hours before bed time test. Conclusion, they're definitely slow release and definitely raise my blood glucose!

No more experiments for a while now.

Hi as i said fasting was 6.4 had a bowl of porridge and a cup of coffee all with semi skimmed milk 2 hours later 8.5.

@oldman1954

Not that I am one to talk, as I had some wheat bread to help some cheese go down tonight. Yet full fat milk would give a better number. Semi skimmed milk has more lactose = sugar. Pure sugar.

6.8 this morning - poor by my standard but moving in the right direction after 7.9 yesterday and the best reading in 9 days. I have had some less than carb-free meals this week but wondering if my recent spate of poor readings was not helped by an infection that I have been dealing with and which has recently improved? And weight still creeping down, half a pound since the weekend.

That wasn't what I was what I was asking about think we have our wires crossed
Perhaps, but I have thought along similar lines I believe. In the past I have had modest less than 2 increases post meal but ending up at 8 or higher. The problem is that if my insulin sensitivity was any good at that time I would not start off as high as 7 or 8 to start with. So a modest rise on an already too high number is not worth much.
