Type 2's: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning?

Yeah, I know what you mean! Here's a good counter post to the one you linked to.

The MCTs that are biologically available are C6, C8, and C10.

C12 (Lauric Acid) is not a true MCT as it's not biologically available and is processed via the liver more slowly. There's a lot more C12 in Coconut oil than the other three MCTs.

Hi everyone. What a lovely day!! 10. 9 this morning. Starting to go down. Have a good day xx

Type 2, no meds, diet and supplements, bloods in the morning range between 7 & 9, but will be down to mid 5's to mid 6's generally by lunch..
Found out that munching peanuts at night is not good for my fasting bloods, were as high as 10, so stopped eating them, took a couple of days, but fasting bloods back to what they were.. so I'm happy about that, but sad aboout the peanuts..

So sorry to hear of your news Comfort, it will take time to take everything in that has happened to you but you can do it, you've done it before, small steps, take time out for yourself and good luck.

6.0 this morning. Late with meds as completely knackered & slept in. @loulou99782 May I ask...what is a "false hypo" as talked about in above posts. I experience bad headaches when my bg drops below 5.0 & as it gets nearer to 4.0, the headaches are unbearableness.

Good afternoon bit late registering my fasting level, it was 6.4 @ 0915 hrs this morning as I was going out for Brunch.

Was that "Brunch" yesterday - to explain the higher than normal fasting - or did you go out for "Brunch" today?

In essence - a false hypo is hypo symptoms at a level above 4.0 mmol / L. Often experienced when someone starts being consistently lower - blood glucose wise- than their body is used to. It disappears after a period of stability.

I know what you mean, absolutely horrible, it took two strong painkillers and 30 min rest to get over it.
I have read a few articles, also my clinician said that the body needs to adapt to truly normal levels, after it got used to higher levels as being "normal"...

Hi @nomistheman,
Thank you for that explanation. You made it easy for me to understand. Very kind of you.
