11.3 a bit higher then yesterday morning
6.1 at bedtime (totally 100% self inflicted)
5.9 this morning. (at least there was no overnight rise this time, considering where I started this was a relief!)
Did you knowingly stray from the well-worn path last night, or was it a surprise?
I wouldn't beat myself up either way. You usually seem to be very much on-track.
Oh well playmates. I won’t mention this lot again, as it’s going to be several months in the resolution; partly because nothing happens fast in the Tropics and OH’s time back in the UK coming up shortly.
Have a great day everyone. Life could be so, so much worse.
I knowingly strayed, so no surprise. I had far too many carbs at evening meal, and naughty ones at that. I didn't go drastically high. My 2 hour spike was 1.7 but I just stayed up there all evening! I was celebrating a good oncology review. I won't do it again for a while.
I hope you get all this resolved before too long. It puts our wind damaged fence in to perspective! Good luck with it all, I can understand how distressing it must be for you being so far away.
As good a reason as any to celebrate, diabetic or not. I would not worry about it!I was celebrating a good oncology review
5.6 this am,fasting. After porridge it rose to 9.5
Might try a smaller amount, though in truth I only use a small amount now.Does it always spike so much after porridge? That is a big spike. Perhaps you should consider avoiding it? If you make it with milk, that won't be helping.

Forgot to add,Ialso need to pass water 6/7 times within 2 or 3 hours after 5am.This is before breaking fast.
Porridge will be Sunday treat from now on.If I were you I would stop eating porridge and change to something else, maybe plain yogurt and a few berries or scrambled eggs, or bacon and eggs, or eggs any which way.
