Type 2's: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning?

that is brilliant!!!!

Mine seem to have stuck round 10.4 the last few days. Yesterday my +2hrs after evening meal/before bedtime reading was 6.9

So it must be DP to the max

unfortunately that's with 5 units of insulin now, so is cheating a bit.

I notice from your sig that you're on 1000mg Metformin - they must be like hockey pucks :shock: I find 850mg hard enough to swallow.

5.9 today, which is a real wake-up call considering I had 3 weeks under 5.2 (and mostly under 5) in late Feb/early March. I must get back in control!

However - on the plus side, it was 'only' 5.9, which considering I've been way over my normal carb intake, is not bad!

I meant to get weighed after my shower this morning, but completely forgot :shock: . There are obviously some things my subconscious does not want to know :lol: . I put on a T-shirt this morning which was slightly too tight last year. It's now on the large side, but still shows far too many curves where curves shouldn't be .

I'm gardening every day in this gorgeous weather, plus I managed to walk half-a-mile two days ago to get to and from a site I'm doing some work on. Sounds feeble I know, but very good for me! Also I'm going on the exercise bike at the gym 3 times a week, so there are lot of plusses about

these are good numbers people

Viv, you're in a beautiful part of the country - will you be able to get out and about instead of the gym now it's warmed up? Gyms are so depressing.

i got used to downing pills now...the metformin 1000mg is a bigger pill but it just goes down in one go with two others in the morning

6.1 today - pleased with that. Would like it lower but can live with this.

I hope to, Swimmer2, but not until my legs are stronger. The physio at the Spinal Rehab Unit doesn't want me to do any load-bearing exercise (in which he includes long walks or the treadmill) until my legs and body-core muscles are stronger. Also, being unfit, I don't breathe as well as I should, so I can't really do hills - of which we have plenty! One of those vicious circles - I can't walk very far so I don't, which means I can walk even less! The exercise bike is working. Gardening helps - though it can be an effort to get up, as I have very little strength in my right leg. I get up like a cow - a**e first :shock: Not a pretty sight! :lol: Talk about load-bearing exercise :roll:

Our gym is tiny and do-it-yourself - no slim girls in lycra, or superfit gods and goddesses, or fast sweaty routines-to-music - in fact if I time it right, I can get the place to myself .

5.6 for me. That was after eating Burgen bread last night, so it is safely back in my menu.

This is the reason I started swimming - once I'm in the pool the most embarrassing bits of me are underwater.

4.8 First time ever in the 4's and didn't get up until after 9.00am

I got up late too - 9.30am today. My BG was 6.4. On Weds I got up at 9.00am and it was 5.6 .... hu hum ....

I was 5.9 today.

I am back to 6.2 after the highs from my naughty day on Thursday.

6.1 today. Follows my usual pattern of staying in the 6's.

Thanks unbeliever my levels have been really good the last 3 or 4 days and are averaging in the high 4's. Not sure why the sudden improvement but not complaining. Back to 5.3 today but I did do the Indian takeaway thing last night so not too bad.
