Phew.....not just me that doesn't like seeing a 6 these days!!Hi Pavlos
Well its not not high and well within NICE guidelines but being diabetic I am always scared to see a 6 on the meter, funny enough my a1c was 7.5 as you and bluetit helped me with that and I never see that on the meter ever
I just want the a1c to be below the diabetic range next time and sometime even my wife says you are just thinking too much about the levels all the time and I should relax a bit but I am too hard on myself always
All the best for your A1c and lipids, hope they are good
Regards
Bretts

Once I'm in the low 5s I begin to feel it and it's not a good feeling. When I begin to overbalance I know I've gone lower. So even though I wasn't measuring I did make sure I had a little something when I didn't feel ok. This is my personal approach. I think there is no concrete rule of thumb. You are right ... We are all different.Different reactions to each other when it comes to the same quantity of food. Similarly, different people feel differently to each other with the same bg level.Peacetrain – I also found my levels would move in notches as I progressed in my journey.
I’m interested in your reaction to your 3s. If you haven’t tested for a while, you were probably experiencing them without realising, and without taking any “corrective” action? If that’s the case, why do you feel compelled to “correct” with raisins?
Those 3s are possibly all part of pulling your scores down. If you think about the early days and carb cravings, where our bodies are trying to “protect” us from lower numbers, when they are alien to us.
Provided you feel fine when you see a 3 (I know the first few times it’s a bit of a “Whoooooaaaaa” moment), then just carry on as before and see what happens. For me, I just get to the next meal fine.
Of course, we are all different and I might have grasped the wrong end of the stick.

An unusually low 3,8 mmol for me this morning.
Wonder if this has anything to do with the two glasses of red wine I had last night. I do not drink often but last night was my 30 year reunion with my schoolmates, and a very enjoyable reunion it was too, so I made an exception.
I now wish I had checked what my level was last night before bed/after dinner.
I guess I will have to experiment with a glass of red wine at dinner time again and see if I get a similar result again.
