Still can't seem to get over the pain in my sides during the day but I guess that's the LCHF changes.
Mike

That does not sound right Mike. I have heard of people getting flue like symptoms when drastically reducing carb intake but not actual pain.

I wonder if anyone else had a similar experience. Otherwise you may need to take this up with your doctor.

Yep, I still use tissues a few times a day (nothing drastic) but it's like a (light) permanent cold. As for the pain, it cuts down (just like it did right now) after I do some rigorous walking for ten minutes.

I do not have a good chair at home and spend a good deal of time sitting down which I should not do. Having given up work, I need to find something else to do that keeps me upright and moving. This is similar to the pain that I had that I had when first diagnosed but before I decided to really lose weight.

Might be time to cut out the alcohol altogether as that's the only factor I can figure into the issue?

Best Mike:)

5.2 this morning, where did that come from? I was 4.3 last night after getting back in the gym for the first time for 4 weeks now that my shingles has cleared up.

6.1 with good exercise. 'Bout to eat a good evening meal and then hit the road (again) and after last nite's success, crossing the fingers :)

5.3......just had breakfast and soon be on my to to the station, flying visit to Nottingham to collect a very special present for my daughter, the things I do!!

7.5. Grrrr!
Wonderful day in London yesterday and walked miles. The poppies at the Tower of London are amazing and well worth the visit - even in the pouring rain Kept bs in the 5;s all day until I succumbed to a cheese ploughman's sandwich in the train coming home and shot up to 9.6! Never again. :banghead:

Lesson learned

Such a large drop after a meal seems unlikely. Probably one or the other of your readings was inaccurate.

5.5 Fasting
7.1 before breakfast....

Was really pleased with the 5.5 this morning as I had a terrible night - after my two 15min walks yesterday I went to bed with a bad back and knees...the pain kept waking me up... but luckily it doesn't seem to have affect the bloods too much and my pre-breakfast reading is better than normal. Unfortunately I had a naughty breakfast in terms of calories.. I had 2 x 98% meet sausages and a flax 9bar!! but at least an indulgence breakfast and lightened my mood.

4.1 pre breakfast (vodka last night) had a crumpet for breakfast because car in for service and a brisk walk to work, 2 hours later 5.6 happy enough with that.

Have a good day all

4.6 on getting up today.
(My wife had a tooth out yesterday, she couldn't sleep last night, and felt the need to share the problem with me all night)

3.8 before going out for my annual blood tests 2 hours later though, so I'm expecting a good report when I go back for my annual check up :)
Fasting test.

(well, I'll get the results this week, but the first appointment they have to review them is December, they are very pro-active, and don't let anyone get away if they can help it)
