No not at all. My point was that we each have our own range and have to work that for ourselves. I suffer from panic disorder and know at under 4.6 the adrenalin kicks in and sets that off so running lower isn't best thing for me. I guess I was trying to say that there comes a point at which we have to go with what nature has thrown our way so shouldn't compare ourselves negatively to others. Those numbers are what you've achieved by your efforts so good on you. I might do exactly the same and never get that low but that doesn't mean I'm a failure. I think we all need to work at self love.
I don't particularly like too low a number, so I'm with you on this.
Below 4.5 or so I used to feel rough, (not quite so much now, but I reckon I've had a few more and got used to them), but even so I'm happier around the 5's.
The other thing to consider when you're checking BG is to consider the range.
My HbA1c is 5.3, so depending on what your's is, you should always consider the range.
If my lows are around 4.5 to 5, I know I'n not seeing a great spread if the average is on the HbA1c is 5.3.
If I do take my tests down a notch, I'd like to see my HbA1c track it.
But that's me though, and things do change how you feel with time.
(I've just been out all day, got home and tested 4.3, a few months ago I would have been on the floor, now I feel ok. But my next HbA1c is going to be the decider for me, on what action I need to take)
