Type 2's: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning?

8.3 today ..had a lump of cheese for my supper last eve...still coughing in the night but so far managed to stay off the antibiotics, Dentist this am cos my teeth appear to be breaking in places grrrr seems everything is happening to me I can not help but wonder if taking the meds i take cause teeth distructiion
 
Not tested since Christmas so did so this morning and 6.3

Still have a bit of a cold, but have eaten carefully last couple of days, reduced carbs to some extent but that is a work in progress.
 
5.2 this morning and a weight gain of 5lbs over festive period , back to proper LChf way of living from today.

With a 3 Stone lose since June 2014 not to unhappy with weight gain, but hopefully it will be gone before end of Jan.

An elevated 6.3 today....where did that come from??
 
6.2 - not surprised as I woke up in a blind panic with heart racing. Was having a really weird dream. I blame the bedtime cheese snack.
 
7.5 for me this morning
8.5 before breakfast....

I am really happy with the before breakfast reading as usually i would go up to about 10+ - but as its a new year I am trying some new things... so this morning I took with me on my drive to work a coffee with cream.. it seems to have helped the liver dump... but we shall see.
 
Elevated 6.2 for me this morning.......felt awful yesterday with throat and head, flushed cheeks. Ate nothing any different to usual but after my homemade soup at lunch my appetite went and evening "meal" was simply raspberries and cream, I did my usual virtually carb free hot chocolate at bed though and was 6 the, not my usual 5's. Virus inflicted I'm guessing.....
 
5.2 this morning - pleasant surprise since it's back to work day and a number of issues to fix this week.

Lost the small weight gain over Christmas, back to a tad under 70kg again.
 

Get well soon Kim, for sure it's the virus elevating your readings.
 

It sounds like you can blame it on a virus. Get well soon Kim.
 
Forgot to test this morning despite remembering looking at my kit when I came downstairs. Overindulged wth carbs at bedtime snack so was expecting one of my lower readings today too
 
Thankyou all for such kind messages whilst I have been spotty. Thankfully rash has gone temp better and although coughing for england I'm slowly on the mend. Bgs have been up and down mainly up in the 8.5 region. Things can only get better
