8.7 mmol/l. Not feeling too good had to go to GP out of hours at the Hospital. Have an infection and on antibiotics. This is why my sugars are up and the reason I have been sleeping a lot last three days. Hopefully turn around tomorrow.
Better soon...

Cream and cheese are absolutely fine, but some people find if they really increase their fats in the latter part of the day their fasting level goes up a notch.
Thank you AndBreathe... You really are a supportive helpful bunch of people here... :)

Hugs to the walking wounded - mr ethyl is coughing like he's on 40 Woodbines a day so I am walking round with my scarf round my nose...I don't want any bugs thank you x
:stop: No germs allowed.. :)

Blimey... :)

A steady 4.0 for me this morning. I'm happy with that, although I'm with @Bluetit1802 in the weight loss corner. I'm going to have to do something about that, for sure.

my blood sugars were 19.9 this morning
Gosh, what did you eat to do that
9.2 mmol/l. Still feeling unwell but an improvement on yesterday. Day 3 of antibiotics and drinking plenty fluids. Took some painkillers and ate something before injection. Going back to bed for a lay down, still tired.
Maybe you'll feel better tomorrow honey... :(

Thankyou all for such kind messages whilst I have been spotty. Thankfully rash has gone temp better and although coughing for england I'm slowly on the mend. Bgs have been up and down mainly up in the 8.5 region. Things can only get better
Good news, glad you're feeling better... whoever would think that a few childhood spots would make you so ill? Apparently chicken pox is really dangerous for adults... scary, isn't it?

I forgot to say my BG was 5.6, but I have infected sinuses... that will push it up, won't it? It's been a bit higher this week...

Bloods show am no longer in prediabetic range. Cholesterol up a bit so swap butter with toast for breakfast to porridge again for while..... HbA1c 39 woohoo......
Please can I stay guys? :D - couldn't have done it without you......

Your cholesterol can go up initially when you are losing weight so I'd not rush straight back onto the porridge - what do you eat usually?

Great stuff @Sable_Jan Very well done indeed! Of course you can stay with us, but just wondering why you would swap butter for porridge to get your cholesterol down? What was your lipid breakdown, as these figures are what matter.

Thank, I didn't know that PLUS it wasn't a fasting test either this time. Usually 2 seeded sensation toast or one homemade but I know I DO put too much butter on and I am ok bs-wise wth the porridge. :)

Butter is good for you. It won't raise your cholesterol! Also fasting/non fasting only affects triglycerides.

Thanks :). Partly as oats help lower cholesterol and as a good way to drop back drastically on the butter ;). My body told me I'd overdone the butter today so I'd already decided to drop the toast for a while. I have seeds in my porridge and use soya milk (no sweetener of any kind tho sugar free syrups on order). Serum cholesterol 5.6 HDL 1.31 ratio 4.2 (which means nothing to me) nurse said the .6 above is nothing to worry about as cardiovascular risk is 7% (below the guideline 10% - was 20% but recently changed) BMI 31. Great nurse quite up on me having used the website and gotten myself a meter. She was really pleased wth me....
